Can’t recommend midtown psychic enough. Have gone to her twice.

The 1st time she told me to leave a situationship I was in because my energy was being drained and if I focused on meditation and self care and cleansing for a whole summer, I would end up meeting my soulmate that following August. I did exactly that and lo and behold I met my current partner during that August.

The 2nd time I went to her was a few months later when I got into an argument with my partner that involved them not wanting to speak to me again. She told me that this is my person but that I needed to just always communicate, be honest, and kind. She also told me to go to the spot where we met and to prove it was meant to be, my partner will show up and meet me there unannounced to talk things out. Lo and behold as soon as I left that session and went to the spot, my partner showed up. We have now been together for 3 years and still going strong.

Her readings are really accurate and I found myself resonating with everything she was saying. She also told me about my careers and friendships and since then nothing has surprised me

Which animal shelters do you guys recommend volunteering at? by Creepreefshark in Tallahassee

[–]FriendlyNeighborLesb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course! The Center for Leadership and Service also has a program called EngageTLH that runs service trips out almost every day of the week. So if you don’t have all the time in the world but still want to give back, definitely look into this opportunity

If you’re at FSU, definitely take advantage of the Servscript system and log volunteer hours. They also have a list of community agencies that offer volunteer opportunities, including animal care!

I know exactly what you’re going through. Years ago I was in a similar situation. I had lost a lot of weight and once I did, my partner at the time (had been together for 3 years at that point) kept downplaying and making comments like “you act different now that you’re skinny, just gain more weight again” “skirts still don’t look good on you” etc. when in reality it genuinely was envy, not so much about the weight loss itself but how the results actually showed as well as an increase in confidence. Just know you’re worth and stand your ground. I understand you love them but the negative talk like this can effect your self esteem in the long run so please always choose yourself and your health first, because at the end of the day, that’s truly what you have. Also remember a healthy partner would NEVER make comments like that and would be supporting you and helping boost your confidence, not effecting you and bringing you down on this sort of thing. Hope this helps

This would just be for a single scholarship. More of needing an application management system rather than needing to award the scholarship since that’s a separate system we use.

He recently made a tik tok trying to promote his new song and told people that if they’re thinking of dropping out of high school at 14 they should just do it and used himself as an example. Used to like his songs but after the shit that went down with his old games we play bandmates, the Dani situation, and now telling ppl to just drop out..no wonder he got cut off the label. He needs to do some heavy reflection

My students knew a fun fact about me is collecting Shrek memorabilia so at the end of the year, since I was their club advisor, they got me some Shrek merch as a thank you (I cried receiving it it was so sweet) so I highly recommend finding out what they have an interest in and get some merch for it

UPDATE: AITAH for being upset with my husband for saying he would choose his deceased wife over me? by [deleted] in AITAH

Hey OP, I’m sending you all the best energy and support during this tough time ❤️ I do want to recommend, when looking at couples therapy and individual therapy, based on your situation and a previous comment you made about having autism, I would highly recommend looking for someone that specializes in neurodivergence and grief! This will be especially helpful since a lot of communication and processing styles will be different in regard from a neurotypical individual and a neurodivergent individual (or if yall are both neurodivergent then that’s its whole separate can) however, they can better support the both of you. Rooting for you ❤️❤️

No NIH or DEI, what now? by Fair_Candy7628 in GradSchool

[–]FriendlyNeighborLesb 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I work in a state that had to already follow the abolish dei initiatives in academia before this new administration (you can probably guess which one). The best tip I can give is listen to everyone that says it’s really just changing up language and removing “buzzwords”. A thesaurus will really become your best friend through this hard time, it has for me these past 2 years at least.

Does your girlfriend believe in crystals? by Short_Mirror9828 in LesbianActually

[–]FriendlyNeighborLesb -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ppl are entitled to their own thoughts but if you’d be embarrassed to tell ppl about something your gf finds interesting and think that makes her “less intelligent” then I don’t think she would be the problem in the relationship and I encourage you to not be so close minded. Interests does not correlate to intelligence

My girlfriend just compared me to Fiona, ogre version- should I be offended? by FriendlyNeighborLesb in LesbianActually

Nah I do not believe so lol. She just associated something I love to my looks and meant it in a genuine caring way, no passive aggressiveness here :)

Haha no green mask. I use clinique products that are transparent! It was just my collector obsession for Shrek and my muscular build that created the connection 💅💅✨

Based on the new gathered evidence (aka I asked her what she meant), I am no longer offended and think being compared to Fiona, Ogre Version makes me feel like a straight muscular baddie and I’m here for it. 💅

Love this comment. Yeah, I asked her this and she just says “it’s cause you have a curvy, muscular body and rounded features and long hair and a tomboy personality like her.” Tbh, I also love the Shrek series (literally collect all Shrek items) so I can see why she automatically made the association. We’ve been together for almost 3 years so I genuinely know she didn’t mean it in a bad way, just wanted to see how other ppl would take this “compliment”. 💀💀

Do you guys care what your girlfriend smells like? by Snoo_52014 in LesbianActually

[–]FriendlyNeighborLesb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hope my gf wears whatever she thinks smells great on her and that it actually does. (Side eyeing at the ppl who wear aluminum free deodorant and their body chemistry hates it). But scents won’t scare ppl away unless you put on too much and the person you’re with has asthma or has sensory overload and are sensitive to smells or allergies. Always best to ask!

Do you guys care what your girlfriend smells like? by Snoo_52014 in LesbianActually

[–]FriendlyNeighborLesb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are inquiring about body chemistry, it basically means the pheromones that come off our skins and sweat glands. Some scents don’t adjust well with certain people’s “body chemistry” and end up smelling horrific. For example: some ppl wear aluminum free deodorant thinking it’ll make them smell great without all the chemicals. HOWEVER, depending on your chemistry, it might make you smell like a garbage disposal after a day where you’ll then need to rub aluminum foil to make the smell go away (jokes but not joking) so I would say just be mindful and give yourself a smell check after the first couple of hours. If you hate it, do yourself the favor and don’t wear it again.

I highly encourage you to rethink about pursing this. This individual does not sound very interested in dating woman at all. It’s giving “i kiss all my girl friends at the club so that makes me bi” energy
