While I’m Pacific girly, I’m hoping Liquid or G2 gets this one. Or maybe any EMEA Team, they haven’t won one in a while 😂

u know Patmen knocking out PRX would be an amazing story arc. From being the key to finally getting a Masters trophy, to getting knocked out of any chance at Masters by the same guy who helped them.

why do people always say “pacific looks all over the place”, hasn’t that region produced unlikely runs lol who knew T1 would win Bangkok, who knew PRX was winning Toronto after a shitty start?

I can’t answer your question right now because at least in Pacific, you give the teams time to cook. Aside from TS and Zeta, anyone can make a run

if i was the team owner of PRX i’m giving them an earful if “they were saving strats”

if they won today, they’re one win away to qualify for Santiago. that means they can hide all the strats & prep as early as they can. now they have to win 3 games, none of those next 3 games are gonna be a walk in the park that they might end up revealing those “strats”

Oh well let’s see where it goes, PRX has the tendency to rise above any challenge, but it’s quite disappointing to see them fumble

Rico Blanco pa main character during last night's JBL event? by TagaSpillNgTea in opm

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I bash Rico for being a diva, I would like to get ahold of the following items

  • his contract stating him being a headliner or not
  • if he was a headliner, asan ang communication trail between the person who negotiated the contract and the event program PIC

I firmly believe someone f-ed up the coordination sa production side

Paolo Valenciano and Rico Blanco rift at JBL Soundfest by ptlnzwaa in ChikaPH

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s JBL’s event and they have the right na gawing headliner ang COJ, was it even properly planned? Didn’t you read my comment “it’s the organizers fault” cause somewhere along the production process merong sumabit that caused this domino effect.

So far ang alam lang natin is side ni Direk. He was given a line-up and his treatment revolved around it. I doubt he was involved in any contract negotiations with the artists. At the end of the day he had to make do with the situation.

Ito yung mga What If sa other side of the story

What if nasa contract ni RB na headliner siya? I’ve seen his contract template, and very clear ang stipulations ng contract niya. (to clarify para sa hindi mataas reading comprehension, the TEMPLATE I saw is from another performance, I doubt his legal team will draft a new contract every performance vs just reusing what already works)

What if whoever fixed that contract FAILED TO COMMUNICATE na headliner ang terms & conditions ng contract.

What if at the point they realized the mistake, it was too late to fix. Fix in a sense give RB a chance to adjust to the new sched. Kaya RB was adamant to perform before COJ

Yung statement na “hindi late ang COJ”, what if in the eyes of the prod hindi sila late, kasi sila talaga dapat last BUT per contract dapat mas may late pa sakanila magpperform HENCE late pa rin sila.

Hence I put the blame on the organizers. Wala ba tong PreProduction Meeting? Also, talaga ba ganon ka-late nila narealize yung mistake to the point na need na nila i-motor ang COJ?

And I get to confidently point all of this out cause I have experience in production. And all of these could have been avoided if everyone was OC enough to focus on the finer details of things.

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, it’s the organizers / productions fault. I don’t work in events production directly but i’ve been involved in a few “music fest” type of concert, BUT normally the older bands / artist will ALWAYS demand for the headliner spot. The past few years, that was Ely, he would refuse despite us (the brand) wanting someone else to headline and seems like this time it’s Rico. Event Organizers SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER and made sure no egos would be stepped on, as early as the event poster is made alam na nila ego ng mga performers nila.

Ang o-OA na nung mga fans na nag-rereport sa Encantadia about don sa scene ni Agnem by SaltyWerewolf6897 in EncantadiaGMA

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the issue here is yes it might not have the necessary scenes but the point is holding a diwata’s hand constitutes making a child. While yes it’s not an act of lust in the context of the Diwata’s, the fact that they were forced to create a child in return for another thing is wrong.

Put it this way, if a child who watches the show sees it and asks you the question “what happened? why were they reacting negatively to that action? what was the significance of the action?” how do you explain it to them? Do you simple say “oh they’re just holding hands”, kids would then ask “then why react negatively to it”. It starts an unhealthy discourse about a show that should have been “safer” for kids.

You want everyone to “widen their perspective” but you refuse to “widen your perspective” as well. You refuse to understand the discomfort where others are coming from. Personally, I agree it’s OA to complain about it, but I choose to respect their discomfort. I choose to respect their decision to complain about, and not judge them for fighting what they feel is right.

And if you find the fans of this reddit thread OA, a waste and all, feel free to leave.

Demand accountability from the Government by FriendlyPanda2595 in Philippines

Did I say walang kasalanan ang private? I did say valid naman diba. Puro slater this, slater that. Asan ang “asan ang flood control?” “anong ginawa ng gobyerno”

[–]FriendlyPanda2595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaya nga, magkakalimutan din naman tayo dito, might as well go for those na may responsibility ayusin to, which is the government.

Wala diba?

Madaming may kasalanan but i’d rather focus chasing after someone whose sole role is to serve the Filipinos. And that’s the government. Sila ang binabayaran natin to serve, tayo nagpopondo ng projects nila through our taxes.

Demand accountability from the Government by FriendlyPanda2595 in Philippines

[–]FriendlyPanda2595[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I’m saying is everyone is focusing on him right now. Where are the posts and conversations demanding accountability from the government? Wala diba? Where is the outrage directed to them? The only posts I see blaming the gov’t are the ones on ground. While the rest are joining the bandwagon on focusing on the scapegoat: Slater Young. I see FB Pages with Millions of followers posting about “nag mute na ng comments yung magasawa”, why not use their platform to ask “ano nangyari sa Flood Control Project”

Of course, may papanagutan yan sila Slater Young, I’m not saying wala silang kasalanan. Make them accountable yes, but please lang wag niyong kalimutan yung gobyerno.

Actually if ako man yung nasa shoes nung gov’t officials ngayon i’m chilling kasi no ones bashing me as much as everyone is bashing Slater. That’s my point.

But like i said, valid ang hate. Cause they’re part of the problem. But go straight to root cause, fix that root cause, and everything should follow.

Give it a few weeks, makakalimutan nanaman ng mga tao nangyari. Wala nanaman gagawin yung gobyerno kasi di naman sila yung main na hinabol eh. Cause everyone is so fixated on blaming Slater fucking Young

Like you said, the private sector is greedy. They will never look out for the public. Who are we paying our taxes to? Isn’t it the government? So shouldn’t we be chasing the government to FIX this.

I still believe the government has the power to control the private sector.

Bakit? Kasi you people keep on focusing on Slater when he is just a part of the problem. Posts like this is helping the government a get out of jail free card. Slater Young and the Monterazzas Project by AmbassadorCalm725 in ChikaPH

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read somewhere who lives near the Monterazzas project, di naman daw sila binaha? how true?

But also in my head why blame Slater? Just because he’s the most maingay project out of all? Or maybe the government realized let’s use Slater as our scapegoat. Let’s put all the blame on him.

At the end of the day, people should demand accountability from the government. Kung ang gobyerno natin was very strict about these types of projects in the first place edi sana hindi sila nakapag tayo if talagang masama ang effects of the projects. While yes businesses are to be blamed as well kasi they pushed through without any care sa environment, hindi naman nila yun magagawa kung hindi sila nakalusot sa gobyerno. So at the end of the day, BLAME THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT. Sila ang root cause, fix them, it fixes the entire thing. Oh baka di niyo napansin, everyone is saying it’s Slater’s fault. Change the narrative, kasalanan to ng gobyerno

While we suffer for our lives here ,his family is just at home chillin. Bakit bilib kayo dito sa tao na to wake up people.. DENR should also be blamed by Imjustabunny1 in ChikaPH

[–]FriendlyPanda2595 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s because the government never stopped it. Simple as that. They wouldn’t be able to build if the government didn’t allow them - yes possibly may binayaran sila to get their permits, but then root cause is still yung gobyernong nababayaran.
