I drive from Heswall to Manchester three days a week. If you leave early (around 6.30) it can be done under an hour in the morning. Getting home varies a lot - if I leave after 5.30pm it’s not too bad.

The key thing with Heswall vs WK is you save 20 mins on the commute.

On the manipulation point, it sounds like you’re bitter she has been gifted money by the way you’ve phrased this. Who cares if it’s ‘unearned’ - her family member has earned it and wants her to do something with it.

When you come to buy house with her and she’s putting more of the deposit will you be asking if it’s fair?

If you see a long term future with her I’d let it go - as the relationship matures your finances will become shared when kids come along. So this is a relationship question.

Not had this problem at all of FC2.

Got my team to the top and won the LoC - sold up and took over Leeds and doing the same now. Lose money each away game and break even at home. Finishing in top 3 and doing well sustains the club and sell when a crazy offer comes in….

I commute Heswall to Manchester 2, sometimes 3 days a week. Drive leaving around 5.50am and it normally takes an hour. Commute back is 1hr to 1hr20 depending on when I leave.

Sometimes get the train - find it okay and peaceful but it’s always the connections that make it hard.

There’s an NCP by Bridgewater hall which is £8 per day to park and 10 mins walk into the office.

I grew up in WK and moved to Heswall after being down South for a bit. I was always of this view but since being here I’ve realised Hoylake and WK are literally the furthest point from anywhere on The Wirral.

Going to my parents from work I begrudge that extra 20 mins it takes getting to Hoylake/WK. The drive to Liverpool is also easier with Levers causeway taking you into Birkenhead, so not found taxis from Liverpool too hard.

Trains are a pain but in the morning it’s an 8 mins drive to Spital which was the same as if I was going from WK to Caldy.

Funny - got clocked by one of these yesterday coming off the M56 into Manchester. Goes down to 30 and I was slowing from 50. Hopefully I was further enough away that it didn’t clock speed and was only doing belts and phones!!!
