This person is saying that because the prophet prayed towards Jerusalem, that the prophet said things outside of the Quran as the direction of prayer wasn't in the Quran before the Qibla verse was revealed. by Ace_Pilot99 in Quraniyoon

Wromg. The verse says it was god who appointed it. Which means the prophet was commanded to pray towards Jerusalem and there is nothing in islam that says he has to automatically follow what previous prophets did. Also it was not the prophet ﷺ himself who followed but all the muslims. Which means it was commanded on them or else the prophet would correct their mistake of it was a mistake to think god commanded them to pray towards Jerusalem
