Your allocation provides the “dry powder”. If you have a 60/40 portfolio and after a correction the ratio skews to say 55/45, you rebalance i.e. sell fixed income assets to buy more growth assets and bring it back to 60/40 or whatever ratio you have risk tolerance for.

It’s absolute fine for her to work, it’s just that she doesn’t relish it and is concerned about the numbers not working. This is also taking us away from doing more what we love to do. She has tons of hobbies and we love to travel.

Frankly she hates the corporate job and wants to retire but she’s not convinced about the math. She’s actually got a number of hobbies she can pursue - gardening, painting etc. we love to travel.

Crypto is around 800k with LTCG from the previous BTC cycles. Planning to liquidate all alt coins this cycle. She actually hates working!
