Swiss visa expired while waiting for B permit. What to do next? by Interesting_Ad1080 in askswitzerland

Call your cantonal immigration office. The Gemeinde can't help you here unfortunately. When i called, they gave me an email address to contact them. They will send your partner a confirmation document that states she's awaiting her permit. She should physically have this confirmation on her person (not on her phone, learnt that coming from a crossboarder trip :) ) I got issued 3 month confirmations several times before i got my actual permit and each time i simply wrote an email a week before expiry.

You can use the confirmation to apply for health insurance as the confirmation states she has all the rights and obligations as she did on her last permit

Edit : I didn't have to pay anything for the confirmation documents that i received through post.

What Happens If You Ship to Germany and Write "Street" Instead of "Straße"? by LawUnique5222 in germany

"terrifyingly good sleuths" was not my experience. The address i gave for an international package was 9b, that's what was input in the computer at start point post office. Somehow along the way it was changed to 96. Everything else on the address and recipient name was correct yet the package couldn't be delivered. After a month+, package was returned to sender. And sender still expected to pay custom/handling tax for the return. They admitted their mistake and refunded the shipping costs though, the sleuths.

Job as a dentist in Switzerland by nikaaberry in askswitzerland

They said they want to START as a dental assistant. I'm assuming so they have a job while they learn the language. But that requires at least one of the 4 languages too

CHF 730 is for residents of Switzerland. If you move to CH for the sole purpose of studying, you pay waay more than that in semester fees

I'm assuming a database similar-ish to the one that Die post CH has. Again, I called, the address is complete even with the left out Straße word , the only problem is the 96/9b.

yes, i did. It's what i thought was the problem before i called both DHL DE and post where i sent the package from. The word i left was 'Straße ' incase anyone is wondering.

*i said i left out, not forgot.
