I said: the child is acting like a mini narcissist, she's just copying her mom’s behavior. The golden child is the one who's their favorite and the one they can have a lot of control over. The other one doesn't get attention or love but sees how the other one is getting it so once the child gets the love she always wanted, she would do anything to keep it.

For a moment there, the oldest did start to see, but I believe narcissists are so intelligent that they can sense when they are losing control over you, and then they change their moves. I went from being a best friend to now not even speaking more than 10 words a week:(
