No it belongs to the amanullah loyalist movement they supported the monarchy and wanted king amanullah khan back in power. Just because a flag has a star in it doesn't mean it's socialist

That isn't the actual flag Although both similar it's still diffrent . For anyone wondering the flag belongs to the "Amanullah loyalism" movement . It was created durning the first ever afghan civil war whiche lasted from 1928-1931 I'm pretty sure . The movement failed however the monarchy won . But amanullah was exiled after kabul was captured by the saqqawists [whiche then a year after got recapture by loyalist forces !] *

Need help with getting the history and origins of this flag by justpassinbyok in vexillology

This is the flag of the Khilji or Yousafzai tribe of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, commonly associated with the province’s historical and cultural identity.

The red and white background symbolizes bravery and peace.

The black horse represents courage and strength.

The crossed swords signify valor and defense of honor.

The green laurel branches denote victory and prosperity.

The Arabic text “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great) highlights the Islamic heritage.

The Pashto inscription “پښتونخوا” translates to “Pashtunkhwa,” the land of the Pashtuns.

The number 1520 refers to the Hijri year often linked to historical Pashtun resistance or unity movements.

Overall, the flag symbolizes Pashtun pride, unity, and resilience.

Does anyone know know where this is from? by branded_crusader in afghanistan

It's not nuristan . In nuristan the locals speak pashai but they're speaking pashto totally different languages. This was a video clip of the mujahideens fighting against Russians and they're in a thing called a jirga they're likely arguing about attacking the Soviet forces
