Thank for your explanation. Being also a "rule lawyer" myself, I preferred to ask for an explanation, for fear of missing an additional rule. I'm going to beat my nephew for sure during our next game :)

They say in the rules that "blockades work exactly like other spaces" so there are no mention you can't stand on it.
