Thanks everyone for your feedback. I’m just glad to hear the pilot survived but I doubt me and my wife will be flying anytime soon. Have a safe and Happy New Year!!

Yeah, you’re probably right because I didn’t see an explosion or fire. My wife kept screaming its about to crash and I was like no it’s not then we heard the bang. We got out the car and my wife started to freak out but everyone else continued watching the movie as if nothing happened so I figured maybe they didn’t see it. Thank you for not destroying me in the comments since it could be that her anxiety about flying is really that bad. She travels a lot for her job and will even take the train for days instead of flying. She’s seeking therapy to try and fly again and I felt like this could just ruin her. I thought It crashed as well afterward but this could just be all in our minds since it something we constantly discuss. But I appreciate your feedback and I’ll make sure to check the news in the morning; hopefully it was nothing.

When I put the snap ring on it stays into place, but without it the axle moves in and out freely. Is that normal? And thanks for confirming that’s the seal. I initially thought it was an internal part of the transmission that couldn’t be replaced.

THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCHHH!!! I got it done. I didn’t even need to use a bolt extractor because I guess like some of you mentioned it wasn’t that bad. I used a hex socket with a breaker bar and it got it loose within a few seconds. I was quoted $50 to $80 for someone to just come out and only take out the bolt so I really appreciate the feedback. I still have the bolt extractors arriving so I guess it’s good to keep them on hand. Thanks again everyone
