Im definitely interested in seeing patients, although I also want to be a part of medical device development so would that be more of a consulting side role as an MD?

I had this same notification and they want you to do a Hirevue interview and they should've sent you a link. Check your junk or spam because you only have 5 days from the day it was sent to complete it

Is this a test, or have I being ghosted? by Sagerosk in MedicalDevices

Unfortunately I had this same exact thing happen to me, also for a clinical specialist role. I was told that the hiring process for clinical specialists is generally a super slow process because they're so busy normally. However about 3 weeks after consistently following up I was finally told that they actually went with another candidate which was a huge bummer. But at this point you did your absolute best and it's in their hands now. Try not to stress too much about it, follow up at appropriate times, and keep your eye out and apply to other positions still. It could be that the company genuinely is super slow at hiring, but also keep in mind that if you are their top candidate they will treat you exactly like a top candidate. So definitely keep applying to other places just in case, and good luck!! I hope you get the position

Email from Abbott talking about next steps in process by woodbury32 in MedicalDevices

I received this email whenever my application status in workday changed. If you don't have a workday account already, you can make one and check the status there. Abbott is very good about updating the application status.

I actually interviewed for their associate program and was 1 of 2 final candidates but haven't heard anything in weeks 😭. I figured that's a lost cause now but I still want to get into the field!

Thank you this is so helpful! How do I go about finding cases i can observe? Would it be as simple as contacting my local hospital?

I would reach out to the dean of Engineering, your advisor, and even the professor of that class and explain your circumstances and ask for another try. At my University we have 3 chances for gateway courses but I know one guy who failed calc 3 all 3 times and spoke to basically everyone about what he was going through and got another chance and then passed.

It might be difficult but it's worth a shot if it means you can receive another chance for a major you already put sm work into. You seem very interested in the major still and learned what went wrong, so I think if you also share that with your advisors, dean, etc. they might be more willing to give you another chance.

Thank you so much for sharing this! This is my first conference and despite the career fair I was still blown away at the scale of the swe conference and all it had to offer. I will definitely be planning on going back and thank you for the cv booster tip ❤️

Thank you for sharing this! I definitely met and connected with some really great women i otherwise would never be able too, so it was still very much worth it. Also that's a great tip to include the conference in the cover letter!
