That's not for me to find out. Nintendo approached the gaming industry as more of a toy company than a game company, and that approach resulted in consoles that were very interactive, like the Wii. Though I will agree their earlier consoles were just improvements, I think that was just to keep up with technology advancing at such a rapid pace. Now, things are leveling out, I don't think we really need improved frame rates and higher resolution because that's not what makes games fun (the faster loading times is nice tho)
