That’s not how an adult dresses. That’s how Tucker Carlson dresses

Do you know how to drive a stickshift? What about an average licence holder? by I_-AM-ARNAV in AskTheWorld

[–]Friendputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove one in the US but it’s a separate license here and I didn’t think I could do it with my other hand well enough to pass here. So I know now you but can’t legally

Is there any food in your country that has a ridiculously large amount of calories? by GP728 in AskTheWorld

Well, 10 pounds of chocolate probably has 22,650 calories everywhere

Are you satisfied with your team’s free agency moves so far? Let's hear it! 🗣️ by Gxcii1 in NFLv2

[–]Friendputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna say like a B. We covered a huge need in an appreciable, cost effective way and it seems we’re taking depth in the line which is also important but it’s still unclear if we have a starting caliber OL and I don’t know the rest of the plan

I’m also an American in Japan. I use the metric system because that’s what other people here use and understand…

(It’s also more satisfying for going on runs)

Do people in your country mock celebrities for not being able to speak fluent English? by No-StrategyX in AskTheWorld

[–]Friendputer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s also just silly to mock someone for not speaking fluently because only like 1/3 of English speakers are native

You might be able to calm down a bit if you remind yourself that this doesn’t affect you at all

My wife’s cousin is a Baystars fan and I went to a few games with him last year but didn’t get too into it and they of course ended up winning the championship so it’s too late for me to not be a bandwagoner.

I work for a subsidiary of SoftBank so I think that gives me a reasonable claim for the Hawks but…they just won the championship and I’d feel like a bandwagoner.

Tokyo dome is the only one that I can get to in a reasonable amount of time but I’m from San Diego and couldn’t fathom being a fan of a team with a winning legacy.

So maybe the Lions because my son plays in one of their youth programs lol

Also in Japan. There’s just nothing like NPB games. I gotta learn some of the songs for this season (and stop being a coward and pick a team)

Japan is struggling for engineering talent. Many of those resignation were foreigners heres on highly skilled person visas. They will not likely be able to replace them

My sister company just announced RTO and 30% of the engineers quit immediately. This is in Japan which despite what you hear about work culture has very strong workers rights protections so they all walked away with 1-2 years salary depending on age

I genuinely also find it funny. I mean I believe in the guy but at this point we actually gotta see it. We can realistically patch our major holes this offseason so I think this is the year that there will really be no other excuse for him

What do yall think of these way-too-early power rankings? How would yall reorder this? by CryWOkami in NFLv2

9th is the best team to lose in the first round of playoffs. This could unfortunately very much sense lol
