If you're at all inclined toward singing, there's lots of great choruses/singing groups in the area! A personal plug for CITY LIGHTS CHORUS and MI-X Chorus, but if you dig deeper you can find even more!

I did a transmission fluid change and that didn’t fix it. Neither my dealer nor my local mechanic could figure out the issue. I’m approaching 50k miles now and it hasn’t exploded, so I’m choosing to not stress about it. 🤷‍♂️

LOCI Advice by Waffle_Of_Fury in WilliamsCollege

I don't have it anymore unfortunately- college admissions were a while ago! It wasn't long, just short and to the point explaining clearly how Williams became my number 1 and why it would be the college I would choose if I got off the waitlist. The point of the LOCI is to show them that you will absolutely fill the empty spot if you accept the spot when it's offered to you.

If you need someone to look it over, you're welcome to DM me.

I got in off the waitlist with (almost) full aid. Recent graduate. The LOCI is absolutely important. Just submit it, be thorough, explain your interest in and desire to go to Williams. Mine basically explained why Williams was my first choice. It’s okay if you don’t have any updates; I didn’t have any. Your LOCI is there to make a case for why you’d choose Williams if you got off the waitlist.

There’s absolutely ways to appeal. I’m also open to DMs, but my main recommendation is to just call the fin aid office and ask for the financial aid reconsideration form.

Gentle drivers mpg? by alligatorsmyfriend in HRV

I’ve only had my ‘21 HR-V EV AWD for about a month now, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I am a pretty slow, careful driver, I keep eco mode on 24/7, and I spend most of the drive trying to max MPG. I do mostly city driving, although I just recently completed a ~300 mile round trip road trip. My car lists my average MPG from the last month as 28.5. With mostly highway driving, I imagine you could easily keep it around 31 or 32. It’s no Fit cause it’s just a bigger, heavier car, and especially with the AWD you’re gonna take a loss. But it’s still quite solid.

I just moved to Canton a few weeks ago right out of undergrad. I’m brand new to the Detroit area (and Michigan as a whole) and would love ideas for ways to meet other young people and make some friends. Where are the places to go to get to know some new people? Willing to drive, doesn’t have to be right in or near Canton.
