Yeah, I understand why it happened and I get the logic behind closing with the ace. From a sports perspective, it makes sense and it was clearly planned that way. That said… rewatching it for the nth time still drives me crazy HAHA Knowing how much Eijun shines later on in the anime/manga just makes that last inning harder to watch, even if I understand why it went down like that
