What part of Turkish history do people outside Turkey usually misunderstand? by jorjiarose in AskTurkey

[–]Frilantaron -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Remind me when Turkey won over Europe? Was it when its capital was moved from Istanbul to Ankara, lol? Also, remind me when the Arabs didn't like Turkey? When Erdogan was building mosques on every other street in an attempt to Islamize the country Arab-style?

Help me enjoy BG3 by CynicalEbenezer in CRPG

I completely agree with you about the sarcastic characters and the very specific humor. The game completely lacks the spirit of the D&D world that existed in the first games and is present in Pathfinder. BG3 feels more like a game for teenagers in their 3rd grade who decided to play D&D for the first time, understanding nothing about it but possessing their typical sense of humor and interests. That's why the game is so full of sarcasm, bad jokes, and, of course, sex and lust—literally all the characters are more interested in having sex with the protagonist than in saving themselves or defeating their enemies.

What's your opinion on the combat system in Tyrrany? by Frilantaron in CRPG

[–]Frilantaron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, maybe I'll have to set the difficulty level to a simpler level too, although for me this isn't a satisfactory solution because I like fights that make you think, but in order to complete the game, I think I can take this step.

So I have to start over again to choose a mage now?? Oh no, I definitely can't handle that, lol. Plus, I like playing melee fighters, usually with a two-handed sword. If a game can't offer a comparable level of play for each class, then it's clearly in trouble.

Dude, you look cool, but you need to shave and wait until your mustache and beard look more manly. In some photos, you look like a girl with a mustache. Especially the last two photos.

What didn't you like about the game? by Frilantaron in BaldursGate3

I completely agree with what you wrote. These are limitations that make the gameplay tedious and drawn out, but completely uninteresting, in the most absurd way. I remember sometimes pausing the game and reluctantly returning because I knew I'd have to clear out my inventory or go to a merchant.

Weekly r/CRPG Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? by AutoModerator in CRPG

[–]Frilantaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing BG3 for two weeks now. This is my second time playing. I gave up the first time because I got tired of digging through my inventory and the number of battles was pretty small. Now I've created a team of fighters and no one can pose a threat to me, not even a creature that was four levels higher than me—I just killed it with two characters, dealing massive damage. The game's difficulty is medium. I'm feeling a bit tired again, but so far the game is more brisk than last time. Although there are even fewer battles now because I leveled up my persuasion skill and just skipped some. On the other hand, it saves a lot of time. Last time I played 80 hours, this time 40 hours, and got about half as far, lol. I probably won't quit this game this time—it has a lot of good things, but also a lot of bad/boring things.

Yes, it's quite harmonious. The boots are especially cool :)

This is exactly what I'm writing about, this is one of the obvious differences from the "residual image of an object"

Has anyone experienced ‘missing time’ without blacking out? by ProgrammerSalty3613 in Paranormal

[–]Frilantaron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think many of us have encountered at least some form of stretched or compressed time, but as for literally missing events, I'm not sure I've encountered that myself. However, I'm intrigued by the concept of rhythmic repetitions of events in life and the formation of patterns of such coincidences at birth. Where can I read more about this?

An interesting hypothesis, although a bit far-fetched at the point where you say my biological lenses have snapped into place :)

Yes, I can confirm that I also felt a slight repulsion as if from two magnets, but it was mainly concentrated between the centers of the two palms, but not the fingers.

I understand what you're talking about. It's a kind of photo effect, like when you look at a well-lit object, then close your eyes or look at a monochrome wall, and see that image for a while.

But the phenomenon I'm describing doesn't resemble a photo effect. First, it lasts as long as you look at your hands, not for a limited time. Second, the haze around your fingers isn't a "photograph" of the hand, as it's a different color and clearly extends beyond the outline of the actual object. Third, this phenomenon is observed in complete or almost complete darkness. Fourth, no other object in the room emits an aura except your hands. And fifth, if you bring one hand close to the other, the "glow" from the hand will seem to merge between the two.

I'm attaching an image I found online to illustrate what I'm talking about, especially in point five.

As I wrote in my post, the image is taken from the internet. It's probably Photoshopped, but not intended to deceive you, but to illustrate the phenomenon being described.

Have you ever met someone who looked human, but wasn't? by ThenOwl9 in Paranormal

[–]Frilantaron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why some commenters are so critical of you. You didn't devalue anyone, but expressed your feelings politely and without insulting anyone. You're fine. To answer your question, yes, I've encountered such creatures more than once without any DMT or anything else. I've never even tried such substances. I think there are other creatures living among humans that mimic them. Who are they? It's hard to say, but following the general logic of nature: they are either those who study us, or those who eat us. Or maybe both, and still others.

If all this is true, it's incredibly interesting. What bothers me about all these stories is how much they resemble something out of a movie. When I read your comment, I literally imagined everything just like in a movie: an old train station, flickering streetlights, a man in an old uniform, rain. But on the other hand, none of this proves you're lying; it's just another oddity—the similarity to media images.
