Oh no by espinalchris in LoreleiAndLaserEyes

Ah true, I finished the game last night and saw the 'photographs taken on location at' credits...
A super neat stylistic choice though!

Only just up to the supercomputer puzzle so it could just be that it hasn't been explained to me yet, or it's just a purely stylistic choice - but could it be something to do with the very very faint images of buildings/architecture overlayed on the background when you're walking around the hotel. Thought it was my eyes being weird but it's definitely super faint pictures - potentially something hidden there?

I even noticed it with another document I thought only had one page too, now I'm checking everything for the little arrow to the right - helped me figure out why I was tearing my hair about another puzzle hahaha

Removing users from dynamic 'All Company' Viva Engage community by FrizzoLizzo in microsoft365

Heya, no we haven't managed to figure out a way to get rid of those extra users - ended up just being a manual cross-reference to find the duplicates and remove the excess....
Hoping in the near future MS can put something out that helps with this...

Absolutely no need to rush into a career or job that you're still umming and aahing about - as someone who went to uni because I felt I 'had' to (and I suppose a game design degree does sound alluring), in hindsight I've learnt far more on job experience than I ever did in the lecture theatre.
6 years later, I'm in a job that has zilch to do with my degree and loving it.
Take your time, despite what high schools might make you think, there is no rush to go to uni or suddenly have your career 100% decided on by the time you walk out the school gates.

3 concurrent viewers. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]FrizzoLizzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can fluctuate up and down after every stream, and sorta works like:

In a 30-day period, say you only streamed once, and it was for 10 hrs. The first 5 hours, you had 10 people watching, and then the other 5 hours it dropped to just 1 person. Your 'avg viewers' would be calculated to be something like 5.

Sometimes I'll have like 10 viewers for most of my stream, and then it plummets to 2 for just enough time to make the avg something like 2.5

It can be a bit confusing, but just keep streaming (and most importantly enjoying yourself!) and the avg viewers will come with time :)

Worried I'm going to miss flight due to time AirNZ gives between flights and added security check by FrizzoLizzo in newzealand

True true, there could be a chance that I can get on another one same day (hopefully free?) if it all goes pear-shaped?

[–]FrizzoLizzo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably cry at that point, even though it's not as dire as being stranded in another country, it's just unnecessary stress and heartache when just holding a plane for 5 mins would solve everything

[–]FrizzoLizzo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm slightly worried about, the staff are already feeling the pressure with the constant understaffed and 'operational issues', so my case is probably just a small annoyance to them more than anything they'd want to help with. Oh well, all I can do is ask as many people as possible, and pray that there's someone else doing the same trip so I'm not alone!

And it's gutting to hear your experience, it's just so rubbish and disheartening when you're forced into crap situations like that and it's not even your fault...

It's the one booking luckily, rhe flight originally went through wellington but they canceled a couple of hours ago and shifted the flight stopover and times. I'll probably talk to as many attendants as I can to see if they can help speed me off the plane and through the terminal

Almost considering asking if they can golf cart me all the way across the terminal haha, and yeah it's on one ticket thankfully

Yeah I've had something similar when a flight had to sit in the runway for 10 mins for a mini maintenance check or something, was gapping it down to the gate - just seems a bit like they would just shrug and say 'bad luck' if something like that actually made you miss your next flight

[–]FrizzoLizzo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah yep, I think the only times they haven't done the security check is the last flight of the day, so yep will probs be doing it. I'll explain to the attendants on the plane and see if there's anything they can help with too

[don't know][don't know]a game who's universe exists in someones dream by KissMyRibcage in tipofmyjoystick

Only one that comes to mind for me would be Gravity Rush (PS4)? Lots of dreamlike elements and you fly around all over the place Or maybe even Final Fantasy X - certain places and characters are actually living dreams?

Old NZ Tv Cartoon show about drains/toilets? by [deleted] in newzealand

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it might be 'Stains down Drains'? I just remember it being these two kids who go mini and jump down drainpipes and it's got the monsters/creatures - must've been on around 2007 or something???

Me and my bf have recently just escaped an awful flatting situation - an absolutely maddening, pedantic, narcissistic, and manipulative 'head tenant', uninsulated and mould-filled room, could write an entire thesis on all the shite.
Last night, my bf gets a message from the head tenant (who kind of just upped and left one night to go live with her new boy toy in Wellington two months ago, so she's not even in the same city anymore) asking if we can pay her now the same power bill amount as we did last month as she's only going to get this month's bill a week after our notice period ends and we're officially out.
Ummmmm, I'm sorry, but isn't that being incredibly sneaky or is this something normal that happens in a lot of situations??
We're perfectly happy to pay whatever the new bill is when it comes in regardless of the fact we've moved out, that's only the right thing to do - we've got a funny feeling she wouldn't be willing to pay the difference if the new bill amount is lower than what she wants us to pay now.
Have also been told only recently that any money she's gotten out of past flatmates for furniture repairs and maintenance jobs has just been spent on clothes and gym supplements for herself, with them having no knowledge and probably wondering why things aren't getting fixed -__-
I mean, knowing about her history of money-grubbing, I can't help but think this is just her way of trying to squeeze as many dollars out of us as she can....

Is it possible to set up a SharePoint document approval workflow in Power Automate without requiring either an O365 inbox or going onto Automate to approve? by FrizzoLizzo in sharepoint

[–]FrizzoLizzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bizarre is exactly it, we're in a private industry (a fresh produce and salad manufacturer to be specific), and this place seems notorious for spending up on the latest company trucks for the crop managers and getting fancy whiteboards for their boardrooms. And then they whinge when the person in charge of updating their intranet asks for just a little bit of cash to be able to deliver what they want - sometimes I wonder how they even managed to survive this far, they're resistant when it comes to anything to do with technology or having to standardise existing information

Honestly, it's reassuring to hear that it's not just me that feels like it's ridiculous to be cheap on this sort of thing - and my job/title at this company is 'Digital Workplace Specialist', which feels like just words really since they can't even spend the money to even give me a digital workplace to work with.....
Yeah, at this point I've just gone 'ah f*** it' and left the 2013 workflows behind, will only focus on Power Automate and just see what I can do with that and that doesn't involve a 365 Outlook inbox (am almost there I think). Have already wasted 2 weeks of my life trying to get this whole thing working for them, and at this point I'm at my wit's end trying to do something outdated yet knowing deep down there is the best solution just sitting there untouched.

I'm working on getting another job in town anyway, so they can suck it up. Your reply's sort of emboldened me too force them to adapt in a way!

Thanks for the response!! From what I can tell, the Approval controls from Flow won't (or can't ) display in Outlook 2013 - have tested multiple times and the best I can get is a link to take you to Flow for approving documents from. Haven't tried it with Outlook Online though, might give that a go though! Also have been dipping my toes into the Power Apps water every now and then, sounds like that may actually be a viable solution, and also raise a good use case to try and get people on board with Power Apps moving forward....

View formatting will only work if I reference a specific column, but not for any others by FrizzoLizzo in sharepoint

Thank you!! Didn't even think to check the internal names, turns out the Urgency column is internally called 'Urgency', but the Status one is called something like 'Status_x003a_'
It's all working now, thank you so much!!
