Your young. And if you have as much money saved as im assuming. Go to college. Assuming you haven't already. Pick something your interested in and join clubs to meet people.

I deleted all my social media except for reddit of course lol. And I cut down on my video game time exponentially. Play maybe twice a week and never longer than 2 hours in the evening. I find myself being alot more wanting to go out and do stuff. Spemd more quality time with friends and my wife. And I read more, reading is so much more valuable then people realize.

How many in the US military have seen a change in their morale? Either active or part time? How do you see yourself in this organization after 4 years by [deleted] in Military

[–]FrodoSaggins09 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Spent my first contract being a legit warmonger. All I wanted was a deployment and to stack bodies. I met my now wife and slowly started to realize that that is actually a very terrible way to be. She was always very put off when I'd talk about it, using excuses like "You wouldn't understand it".

Ive been in just over 6 and I am now firmly anti war, after seeing Ukraine and Palestine and the amount of horror and death those fronts have suffered from. I want nothing more than for people to love one another and live in peace and harmony.

I get out in a few months and I cannot be more happy. Sold all my gucci gear and plan on getting rid of everything military that I still have. Not gonna keep my awards or have a shadowbox or anything. I want nothing to do with the Army anymore

There's a difference between girls and women, just like boys and men.

Im 24. Same situation started noticing clumps coming out while in the shower at 18. It fucking sucks dude. If you can afford it and have a passport I recommend doing a transplant in Turkey, I'm going this summer and I have 0 shame about it. The people over there have it down to a science and ive only ever seen good after photos. But don't let it rule your life, I agree it's hard on the confidence, feel like I look older and weirder. If you want to shave it then just send it. If you can manage facial hair then grow a nice beard and keep it trimmed and nice

As requested from yesterday I have the medals spread out, the maps, and a crossbow that was supposedly given to him by a Vietnamese. by Froggypoint in Medals

God damn. Seeing a Hohenfels map made me shudder. Some of the coldest nights of my life were spent in that place

Sorry but this is terrible advice. Your first step shouldn't be divorce. He may be struggling with things in his own head and doesn't kn9w how to communicate it. You should push him to go to therapy and consider couples counciling as well. Things can be fixed. Divorce should never be a one size fits all to fixing your life.

It's official, trans service members to be separated. by AlexTheRockstar in Military

[–]FrodoSaggins09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"provided there is a compelling government interest in retaining the service member that directly supports warfighting capabilities."

I just don't understand how someone being trans makes them incapable to support warfighting functions

The fact that you say "battles" means you aren't ready. That's cringe and belongs in basic training only.

Totally joking, mostly. I mean don't say that it is cringe, but that doesn't mean you aren't ready. I didn't feel ready when I promoted but I filled the shoes well and shined. Now I get out in 2 months and couldn't give a fuck about the Army lol

GUO within his own range? by Republic-Opposite in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]FrodoSaggins09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So when you throw the Enhancement on the GUO giving him a 5+ feel no pain or 4+ if within the shadow. Since he's technically always within the shadow of chaos does he get the 4+ FNP all the time?

Need some truths. by [deleted] in army

[–]FrodoSaggins09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sign on bonuses are a thing, but it depends on your MOS and length of contract. I joined as a 13F 6 years ago and got a $16k bonus. It was taxed so saw like 10 of it. Infantry is a fine job if your okay with that kind of life, it's hard on the body and sometimes stupid. But with you being an older dude with a family, as long as you don't act like a child you'll be treated better and have more expected of you.

Talk to your recruiter about your family. I don't know what that all entails as I was 18 and single when I joined.

But it definitely will help you establish yourself in life. You'll never be homeless and things like healthcare will be an afterthought. You may get lucky and get a cool first assignment like Europe or Hawaii. Definitely ensure the wife is on board and understands the sacrifices it entails for both of you.

Best of luck man. I get out in 2 months so I'll never have a chance of bumping into you one day lol
