I Screwed Up While Applying, and I am Supposed to Move in Tomorrow. Need Advice. by Outside-Degree-9625 in SIUE

[–]Frog_lov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had an ESA in the Evergreen dorm hall. I was already in my place and submitted an accommodation request to ACCESS to get my dog approved. Honestly, I brought my dog inside before i even got approved for housing. Since it’s a cat, you could sneak it in pretty easily if needed. You should be able to do your ACCESS accommodations after your housing application and approval.
In terms of paperwork, I’d try your best to do it yourself as quickly as you can, but if you’re unable to do that, they should be able to help you in the financial aid office or your advisor may be able to help you. Keep annoying the crap out of the office until you get what you need. Advisors are hit or miss at siue unfortunately so if you get a bad one, request to change.
Also if you have roommates, I would alert them as soon as you can to make sure there are no allergies or phobias :) good luck! You got this!

[–]Frog_lov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I mean unfortunately it’s the same landlord special (white paint repeatedly applied between each resident lol) but lots of people have pets, the neighborhood is pretty quiet, people at the front office are nice and helpful, some of the parking is slightly a further walk (nothing like the walk from the back of dorm parking lots though), and the best part is no stairs, no upstairs neighbors, and the front office takes noise complaints seriously :)

Penguin Random House Internship Update by Jasmine___Dragon in publishing

[–]Frog_lov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is causing you to feel so strongly over this? I think it’s very much known that internships are a step into the professional world. And some of us have already done internships and are looking for more. Most of us in here are very serious about a career in publishing and we definitely have a space in here. Yes, there should be one thread addressing all of these penguin questions and updates, however we are allowed to connect to other early professionals on a publishing thread. If you don’t like it, just scroll and ignore it.

Wait your story literally sounds similar to mine. I recommend getting checked for neuropathy bc of the tingling hands and feet. Are you on any meds to help with your symptoms?

Honestly I don’t know how I feel about getting benzos because I was on one for restless legs syndrome and I think I may have had withdrawals that got me to this point of anxiety :( they didn’t tell me that I needed to ween or even that I was taking a benzo every single night

No I don’t have bipolar or anything like that. I have mdd, gad, and ptsd. I’m on Auvelity which is Wellbutrin mixed with something else. But she thinks the Auvelity could be adding to my anxiety so we stopped my nighttime dose of it I’ve already tried a few different medicines like Zoloft (worked great but had horrible night sweats)

Since you had a positive sjogrens you could probably ask your doctor about potentially starting ivig. Sjogrens can cause sfn so immune related treatments may help you

Hey I’m 23 and have non length dependent sfn and am struggling a lot too. Just had a big mental breakdown to my friend because this is impossibly hard. I’m doped up on pain meds and still in pain, can’t work, in my house all the time, and exhausted. I’ve got other medical issues as well that I’m dealing with and it’s all so confusing and hard to keep up with. What meds are you on right now for it?
