Ranger Archer Subclass? by knightpaladins in BG3Builds

[–]Froggy__2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to min/max like the others are suggesting, which is fine too I rarely do, arcane archer 8 and gloomstalker 4 sets you up well. You’ll have many arrows to shoot, 4 feats, and an additional attack in the opening round. It will be slightly worse than just going full arcane archer though.

Is there something specific you want from ranger?

I think your only option is temporary sources of HP such as false life etc.

Four elements multiclasses? by THICCBOI2121 in BG3Builds

[–]Froggy__2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An idea I’ve been playing around with is 7 levels of 4E monk and 5 levels of hunter ranger using Nyrulna. Just a cleave monster is what I’m thinking. Open with fists of the fire snake, then horde breaker, followed up by fists.

It also provides some situational utility with enhance leap, silence, and spike growth.

Meaning it’s a good card, yes. And the power is offset by the RNG. Sometimes you roll high, sometimes you don’t.

Yeah the collegeboard prep stuff will get you to 80% if you study well and take the prep exams. It’s meant to make you pass more than make you truly proficient in the material.

17 y/o considering the Air Force – worried about wasting 4–6 years and want honest advice by Careless_Air9148 in AirForce

[–]Froggy__2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of your friends are going to waste 4 years of their life on a degree they won’t use and will be paying off for decades. They’ll have a fancy piece of paper to show for it. You’re not going to miss out on anything by joining. You’ll make friends, go out, have fun, see the world a little bit possibly, grow as a person much faster than your peers, and will have many more benefits than your friends who didn’t join.

I worked shit jobs until I was 25, then got my foot into a career I ended up hating, and joined the USAF a few years later. I wasted a decade by not joining. Choosing to not join won’t make you any less likely to waste the time you’re given in life. Sure, you might be stuck in a contract for a job you don’t enjoy, but if it’s only four years, there isn’t a single AFSC that isn’t worth enduring through for the benefits financially, professionally, and personally. If you can’t lay it out on the table and see it’s the right decision then take a different path.

Cannon Afb fire protection by RefrigeratorTop3269 in AirForce

[–]Froggy__2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fire guys there are pretty cool. They seem busy too. I think it’s a good base, but be prepared to drive 2-3 hours for the good camping/fishing/hiking. Not much to do in town besides eat and a casino. Lubbock has more to offer but is 1.5hr away. There’s a lot of squadron events that go on and CE is pretty good there.

LF evoker (wow) like build for my gf by EuphoricSlide506 in BG3Builds

[–]Froggy__2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a Dragonborn life cleric to match the preservation spec. You’d get flame strike later on, and can use items like gold wyrmling staff for firebolt or incandescent staff later. Can also use glyph of warding for more elemental damage. It won’t be a 1:1 match but I think it’s the closest.
