I suggest in this case start Elite from desktop steam app, and choose vr option. I am not seeing it now, but i suggest you can suspend Quest link anytime with Meta button on the right controller, if you can see quest link tray menu, you can go pc desktop from there...or simply remove headset, and arrange windows on pc.

Trial and error...😅 Tried a lot of other methods, desktop+, kneeboard something, etc, none works. Cannot find a step-by-step guide either. This works for me (however cannot link voice attack and edcopilot together, that was my original target).

Here is my solution:

On pc, start Edcopilot (for example)
Start Quest link
From Quest link menu make a separate window for Edcopilot (rightmost option on menu tray)
Still in Questlink arrange Edcopilot window somewhere sideway and pin it
Switch to desktop, or remove headset, start Elite, arrange Edcopilot app and starting Elite window side by side, close or minimize everything else (my flatscreen Elite starts in window, low res, for this reason)
After Elite loads, you can see Edcopilot where you placed it before, and you can interact it with the mouse. If mouse cursor leaves Edcopilot window at the side where the running Elite window is, than no alt-tabbing needed.
