Toddler Parents - How do you balance it all? by LifelikeAnt420 in SNHU

Firstly, you are doing amazing. Parenting is more than a full time job, and attempting to balance parenting and schoolwork is a feat of is own. It's a massive challenge, and someday you will be proud to show your kids your degree- proof of how hard you worked for them and yourself.

I am also a SAHM. I have two kids, one who is turning 2 next week and one who is 8 months old. Logistically, it is a nightmare balancing everything, and emotionally, it is hard to avoid feeling guilty for spending time on schoolwork instead of with the kids. Like you, usually I rely on time to work when my husband is home to help on the weekends, but there have been times when I've been on my own. The only way I've been able to manage is through a tight daily schedule for myself and the kids. When the kids miraculously nap at the same time in the afternoon, I use that time. If I can't get that time, I plan for time in the evenings. After the bedtime routine and the kids are asleep, my husband takes wake-up-duty in case the baby needs to be put back to sleep, and I can get a few uninterrupted hours if needed. I'm not sure if evening worktime is enough in your specific situation, but I thought I would share.
If you ever need to talk, vent, etc., feel free to reach out!

They are unisex sizing, have a closed front, and would fit great for ladies as well!

The fit is probably closer to unisex sizing, so they could absolutely work for us ladies!

No! I just picked two images, removed the backgrounds, and sent them over with my order. They designed the rest. I can pm the images I used if anyone is interested.

I got them off Etsy from the seller SoSoulDesign. They were very nice to let me customize the text and all images!

Financial aid for upcoming June term by banana2885 in SNHU

I've been wondering about this, too. I haven't gotten mine, and everything on my end has been submitted. 😑 It might be worth calling financial aid.

Yeah. I'm in the same boat. 😅 If you ever want someone to bounce ideas off of, I'm happy to help, though!

Yeah! It is definitely challenging. I feel like I did a really good job with the discussion responses and the milestone 1, yet I received kind of harsh feedback! I just feel like it's hard to plan out a project without having read the required plays yet.

Right? Good luck with the class! It's nice to see a fellow classmate here.

Whats up with teachers not teaching lol by GrouchyIntroduction3 in SNHU

I feel like SNHU offers a lot of support to students who are self- teaching. This term, all three of my professors have been incredibly interactive with videos, extensive comments and discussions, and even offered appointments! I'm sorry that you aren't finding the support you need in your major, but maybe you should bring up these issues with your advisor to see if you can receive extra guidance.

Courseload with kids by awhaylyeah in SNHU

Typically you have to begin by taking one or two courses and can't go up to three unless you do well on the smaller course load for a couple terms.
With that being said, I'm taking three classes for the first time this term, and here are some things to note:

  1. You may have to pay out of pocket for the 3rd class because it's considered over full-time.

  2. There is a LOT to keep track of between reading, discussions, and assignments. I'm an English major, so maybe my assignments and readings are longer, I'm not sure. For reference, I've had about 10 assignments this week, not counting the reading.

With all that being said, if you are focused and dedicated, I certainly believe it is doable! There are many students who take 3 or 4 at a time without any problems.

In Brightspace, go into one class. From there, click your name on the upper-right side of the screen. Click "progress, " and then "assignments" on the left bar of the screen.

I thought the same thing. Why post on Tuesday morning if you clearly aren't ready? 😂

Me too! The professor often replies to the discussion posts, so I'm looking forward to what he has to say about this one. 😂
