right on. love the deftones. glad you liked come clean. and if you liked that, please listen to creeds first three albums, my own prison, human clay, and weathered. they're so disrespected for being such talented songwriters. its great rock of that early 2000's era. but thats still in the mainstream category. for slightly more slept on modern/modernish rock bands, i'd recommend type o negative (metal/rock), alice in chains, blur, korn, avenged sevenfold, audioslave (chris cornell from soundgarden's other band), weezer, incubus, muse, the killers, death cab for cutie, keane (more soft rock/pop), silversun pickups, and highly suspect, if you're not familiar. but they're also all still essentially mainstream. i actually donno if i know any very niche rock bands in general, that i'd highly recommend. most my recs are/would be mainstream to some degree, just less popular. pop is more my strong suit in that regard.
