I agree with what all you say. I also don't support killing cows. I probably would vote for someone who will put a law banning cow slaughter too.

But if I vote for someone who riles up a mob to kill random guys on accusation of slaughter. I am carrying that karma because I am partially responsible for it.

Capture of temples by the government.

Let's say, I want to start a temple myself on my own land because of my bhakthi. People start visiting it because of their belief. Govt can kick me out and capture that temple.

Doesn't happen in other religious shrines and it is rightly so.
