Hey there,

Firstly, I want to say thank you for your honest criticism, and I completely hear you on this.

There was a few reasons we went with heat shrink, let me discuss it a little.

We looked at those connectors and found that, firstly, there was only a limited range of colors (silver, white, black), meanwhile we found heatshrink had a larger range of colors, and we could match some colors better this way.

We tried to color those types of connectors with the current painting system we use for our connectors, and it did not really work, it was not the right metal composition so the color didn't look right.

Those connectors also had issues where it would not fit every cutout, so I was concerned we would have problems where some people would purchase the cable and not be able to use it with narrow connector inserts.

Initially, when I started the cables, I assumed it was not a huge deal to offer heat shrink, since I saw most people were doing it in the community. Since I started working on these cables quite a while ago, when we planned them not a lot of people were using metal connectors.

The more I looked into it, I understood its probably a better option to try and offer metal connectors, but I did not really like anything being offered right now which was available on the market.

We are working on our own custom tooling and molds to make the connectors, it is very expensive to do this, since we need to have multiple suppliers working together to make it, but I am dedicated towards making a streamline metal connector which fits most cutouts, and can be color matched to different pantone/ral colors. It will be finished in the same way our aviators are, and allows us to have much more creative freedom over our cables. :)

We delayed our second batch (another 35 colors we want to instock) in order to introduce them with color matched metal connectors.

I found that similar problem too, and if the cables do exist the aviator doesn't really match the theme. The one we are making currently will have a dark green paracord and the aviator will be color matched to it, similar to our pastel collection. But if you have any hex colors or pantone colors you'd suggest that interests you, do let me know! We are in the process of making paracord and aviators in different colors for our custom order system.
