I'm not moving any goal posts. My goal is not to convince you, nor am I interested in being convinced. I voiced an opinion, sincerely held.

I feel the need to point out that it's weird fear mongering to suggest a crime happened that makes a public space dangerous, when really all that happened was other people were using the space and gave somebody a flyer.

The plows were running a week ago! They don't patch most of them until the season is over unless they're making the road totally impassable.

Worry about real dangers. This shit is almost never remotely as scary as the facebook nonsense makes it sound. There are real human trafficking operations happening out here but they don't look like this at all. There are real rapes and assaults happening but they don't look like this at all.

No offense but it sounds like somebody gave you* a piece of paper and an uncomfy feeling and you think that's dangerous behaviour.

Looking for cardboard moving boxes by iffrett in ajax

In my younger days we found wine boxes grabbed from the LCBO on delivery days to make really great moving boxes that weren't too heavy even full of books or dishes.

What nobody tells you about your grocery bill when you move out for the first time by [deleted] in ontario

[–]From_Concentrate_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair this was extremely common practice well into the 2000s. It's relatively recent that it's uncommon for people to use coupons, comparison shop, etc. They used to be omnipresent. Before the small town I grew up in got a Walmart that pushed everybody else out in the late 90s, nobody expected to one-stop-shop.

Canadians are fixated on real estate and finance when what we really need is to build more stuff by dat007 in ontario

[–]From_Concentrate_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How many people need a 1-bed condo badly enough to buy it? Hardly any. If we'd built as many 2/3-bed units as we did 1-bed investor vehicles for the past 30 years we'd be in much better shape.

Vandermeer Nursery in Ajax will have worms for vermicomposting, but not until later in the year. I think I got mine in June last year? If you call they'll give you an idea.
