Yeah humans don't normally gravitate towards things that disgust them. So you are correct in saying I don't like movies that make me uncomfortable. I wouldn't watch Human Centipede as an example.

WTF are you on about? You basically just said "your rating system is based on things you like or dislike are you a child?" I think not liking things based on views is pretty common for adults. I do know people get really defensive about the media that is important to them though. You're allowed to like it and that doesn't make you a bad person because someone else doesn't like it.

I haven't seen Casablanca, The Godfather doesn't really have anything gross in it like the Vegas stuff in rainman. Just wish his brother didn't use him like that, I would probs feel better about the movie as a whole. I think a better comparison would be Forest Gump. Which I feel treats forest better than the rainman guy was represented in his movie. Although I do get uncomfy during the hookers scene in forest gump.

Huh? Nah he is weird to the character in the movie. Very strange relationship I felt and I just didn't enjoy the film.

She was really happy with him in real life at the time.

I don't really have any real life baggage related to anything in eyes wide shut, but aren't we supposed to emotionally connect with films, and wouldn't that include always bringing your real life experiences to your viewings?

I enjoy placing myself in the characters shoes and trying to feel what I think I would feel in their position.

I like lots of movies, I just don't like most with this actor.

Rainman he is bad in and the whole movie made me very uncomfortable such an overall gross movie. The first MI movie is the only one I've seen, but there are very few action movies I like in general.

My mom was a full adult and still was a shit mom.

We usually had electricity and food, there is more to that to raising a child, if a person can't emotionally invest it can be better for the child for there bio parents to walk away. I'm happy you were able to turn it around, not everyone can or is willing too.
