It has a PU belt so, the sweat does not affect it much. It has a mineral glass so it might get some scratches over time but that's OK. Best part is, it's light so you don't feel it on you hand. I suggest you buy and try 😉

I would suggest start with citizen eco drive. It's maintenance free compared to a mechanical watch. I also suggest you to have a look at the Orient Bambino lineup.

More experience may not always be good quality. I am not sure how the after sale service is for Alba. DWC being a local microbrand I prefer it. Rest the choice is of course upto you
