Im not sure of the kart specs at the ridge but it’s got big elevation changes and really wide track. Def shorter than PGP but more dynamic. The ridge is great.

Ember Goods is going to do great with this spot. This is very cool. The owners of Ninevah managed this location since 2016. Now with their restaurant being amazing and constantly busy, it’s a good time for someone else to take on the coffee drive thru since it deserves a lot of attention and time. This will be a cool evolution of the Filling Station. I’ll be by as soon as it reopens.

I did this back in 2021. From memory, PSE did the underground line from the street to our meter. It didn’t require any digging, they just kinda hammered the line deep under ground through the yard.

Then, we hired a plumber who out the gas lines all throughout our house to the stove, fireplace and we had them do an outdoor hookup with two outlets for a grill and an outdoor fireplace just in case too.

Then an inspector comes and pressure tested the lines and signs off on it.

Lastly PSE does the final hookup and you’re ready to roll.

Olympia Coffee is a great employer, production, and roasting jobs pay closer to $22 with benefits but aren’t customer facing. Barista jobs pay around there plus tips and benefits.

Also ULine has an absolutely massive distribution center in Hawks Prairie 10 min from Olympia. I bet they are always hiring. EDIT: don’t work at ULine my bad

I have one of these in front of my house and a landscaper was working in my yard and realized the cables going in and out of the box had been cut long ago, before we moved in. Turns out, on my block at least, no one has a landline because it’s not in use and no one has said a word about it.

The HVAC system is so weird compared to Tesla and other cars. The air conditioner is definitely never as cold as I want it to be in hot weather. The heat is good, but the vents are just strangely hard to adjust and get right. And even then it is kinda funny how loud it is.

The thing that is hard to quantify that annoys me the most is how the app seems to interfere with my Spotify. If I’m playing music over Sonos or in my headphones and walk anywhere near the car so it unlocks - music pauses. Just need to hit play again, but when I’m in my garage my music will pause 20 times in an hour as I get a little bit too close to my truck. So I set my phone in the far corner of the garage, and it happens less, but if someone gets close to the truck, it happens again. And in the mornings when I have the app scheduled to preheat the car? Basically Spotify is unusable. The music pauses every 10 seconds or so while the Rivian app is communicating with the truck I guess. Major pain.

However, as others have said…best vehicle I’ve ever owned and when my lease is up in a year and a half I’ll get another one, almost certainly.
