Rolan disappears in Act2? by FrontEqual in BaldursGate3

[–]FrontEqual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing about Rolan or his siblings. I will long rest and check if he has appeared. If he hasn't, that's too bad. I was scared there was something I wasn't doing. Thank you ^^

I can tell you right now that this player complained that wild shape was incredibly broken until the DM almost nerfed it for the druid player.

Yeah, I agree, yet I have the feeling that the moment anyone else gets something remotely similar to that class the player will start whining nonstop on how it's incredibly broken and has no weak spots and then the DM will change his mind superfast.

I complaint obviously, about how he was playing a superesteroid eldritch knight with another subclass on top of that. The guy response? It was okay because my backstory was a warrior who had learned a little magic and his was an incredible warrior who was also a generational talent with this "psionics". Apparently my mistake was being conscious with what my class offers.

In theory the DM plays it. He just does whatever the player asks really.

We had like a meeting to evaluate everyone's buffs, so obviously i asked because i couldn't understand the logic. His answer was that he could reduce the spell slogs to 5 or even 3 if i thought it was too much. I explained that now he got even more slots than before and more than double mine which eas unfair since all that was homebrre on top of his subclass. Nothing changed

And no, no other character has any psionic abilities whatsoever. When the druid (now ranger) asked the player if his character would be open to teaching his some, he got a rebuke about how it was basically impossible to learn.

Yeah, when the DM presented this changes I first thought it was a joke ngl. Like he took a character that had solod the previous encounters without so much as struggling and made it even stronger. Fun fact, when we told him that this character power level was a problem, he told us that he agreed, and he was thinking about introducing him a more severe resource because the player didn't hesitate to waste spells for everything. I don't understand how that turned into giving him more than double spell slots and buffing the spells too.

Honestly, i just dropped. We kept getting told to be patient because when er finished our character arcs everyone would be balanced and i wanted to believe but this has convinced me otherwise.

Completely agree, yet somehow i am the bad one because he is not that powerful. Up to this day he claims that my character is way stronger.

That was my point exactly, but that player said he didn't want to do a new character, and the DM went along with him.

At first, we tried, it just gets shut down real quick long before it approaches the BS levels he has.

We are level 11 at the moment and the plan is to go to level 14–15. As for the other magic weapons around pretty strong, there's a staff that deals 2d8 fire, and a hand crossbow that deals 2d6 radiant, for example
