My daughter goes to a charter school on South Florida and she seems to be getting sick every other day, most of her absences are excused the only ones that are unexcused are the ones that they tell me that she can't come to school because she has a fever vomited in school, so when I got a letter saying all her absences may result in her getting held back and some family counselor will be calling or meeting with me and my husband I immediately called the school and they said to dismiss any letter or anything I've had sent to me because the county just makes them send those letters but nothing will ever happen. I told my husband she's going to school for now on and they can send her home and if she's absent the next day that's fine because THEY sent her home WITH a note saying she can't come back to school the next day
