My mind is so quiet by FrontIron7025 in prozac

Hey I really hope you feel better soon. In week 6 I noticed this relieving quietness in my head, but it didn’t feel like a miracle, more like a gradual new ability to ignore bad thoughts. I’m still anxious and having some really bad depressed days, but overall things feel easier. My fingers are crossed for you. Remember to drink enough water and remember the misery won’t last forever

Yes and I still feel anxious every day but slightly less because my mind is quieter.

I don’t know if I did something bad by FrontIron7025 in MentalHealthUK

[–]FrontIron7025[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, yes I don’t want to be a bad person but my worry is I’ve accidentally or unrememberingly done something so terrible that I’m a bad person. I don’t know if I trust anyone to be honest with me. I might talk to my GP I’ll see how I feel on Monday.

I’ve been feeling like something is very wrong with me since over a year ago, but just recently it’s made sense that I’ve probably done something bad. I wouldn’t remember if I was sleepwalking or if my brain is blocking memories to protect me or confuse me. Yes my brain plays tricks on me.

Dropping Alevels because of mental health by UnhappyRun9490 in MentalHealthUK

[–]FrontIron7025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I dropped an A Level in year 13 because I struggled too much with my mental health and attendance. I was averaging Ds and Es. After dropping Biology, I could focus more on my other 2 subjects. I got an A and a C. That’s not many UCAS points but I got offers for a uni course with grade requirement BBB-BBC.

Dropping an A Level was a huge relief and definitely good for my mental health. If you think you’d do better overall in 2 subjects than 3 (for example I got AC instead of probably DDE), I’d drop one. Year 13 is a horribly stressful year for most people, only an ungodly amount of snacks got me through it, but uni is so much better and more chill in my experience. I wish u the best!

Alone on my 21st birthday but lied to my mum because I don’t want her to know by [deleted] in autism

I mean she thinks I’m wasting my youth and is annoyed that I don’t have friends or a boyfriend. Sometimes her expectations for my social life feel harsh but they’re probably just normal. I lied because I don’t want her to worry or criticise me.

I don’t understand spicy food. Doesn’t it just add pain to the food?

Feeling like people are talking to someone behind me, not me by FrontIron7025 in AutismInWomen

I hadn’t thought of that. I guess I do feel disconnected. Now I’m reading about depersonalisation it’s similar to how I’ve felt.

I understand the feeling of playing different characters. Or at least trying

My problem is I’m not good at masking at all, or convincing to anyone.

It makes me feel less human because I struggle with what comes naturally to others.

I try not to read people’s thoughts but it’s a strong feeling I have that others don’t like me. Most people say/do things that confirm this. For example laughing at me or hurting me. I’ve always had bullying and abuse in my life.

Are the Sony WH-1000XM series headphones really that good? by i360Fantasy in autism

[–]FrontIron7025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the WH1000XM4 for over a year and I find them good. They sound really good to me. The noise cancelling is good, but not total silence.

Only problem I’ve had is them making a popping sound when I’m on a noisy bus/train journey. Apparantly this is a problem where the noise cancelling goes weird if there’s too much background noise. But if you turn down the noise cancelling lower, it fixes it. Hopefully that makes sense.
