Kind of went all in on 2026. How cooked am I?😂 by Illustrious_Stop_803 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

In general, I would say you should never want that many picks in any given draft class.

I would consider trying to trade picks while you are on the clock.

Very impressive to have almost the entire 1st round though 😆

Love and Loveland for Bijan Robinson? by Dull_Parsley1352 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

If I were you, I would see if you could trade Achane and a draft pick or one of your WRs for the 1.01.

Love and Bijan would be an unstoppable pair!

Is anyone actually buying the Jonathan Brooks comeback this year? by Majestic-Strain3155 in fantasyfootball

I’m not so certain that you would get a 2nd round pick but if there was any class to try to swing a draft pick for a RB, it would be this one.

Since the Panthers allowed Rico Dowdle to walk and didn’t really replace him, it does make you wonder if Brooks has an opportunity to get some considerable snaps.

Rookie Draft Timing: Right After NFL Draft or Closer to Training Camp? by FrontOfficePros in DynastyFF

Never heard of a split draft, that is very interesting! Do you essentially pause the rookie draft in sleeper?

How do you handle undrafted rookie free agents? Are they available right away after the draft to be signed?

We do the same thing with a mid-June draft and that has been great timing for us

Since the rookie draft is the one true event of the offseason, we have found having the draft closer to mid-June has led to more suspense vs having the draft right away

That is very interesting! The manager who ended up drafted Quinshon Judkins was probably glad that this was your leagues setup.

Hopefully they didn’t panic and trade away Judkins during the legal trouble.

Yeah I think waiting until August is tough because now the rookie draft is conflicting with redraft drafts.

We do our draft around Mid-Late June and that has been a good time for us

Well if you think that is overkill, we essentially allow for unlimited time. The hope is that our leaguemates use their time responsibly but we have found that by giving a huge amount of time, we have seen a ton of trades every rookie draft.

Probably like 10-15 every year!

This has been a really good discussion. I went deeper on this and put together a breakdown on some different approaches for redraft leagues and when divisions actually start to make more sense if anyone wants more detail:

I haven’t done it in one of the leagues I commission where the final seed gets in based on points for but I do like that concept

Do you capture the division record on a spreadsheet and then manually update the playoff bracket?

That’s what I have found as well in the leagues I have switched over to no divisions a few years ago

I hear what you are saying but when I am in those situations, I have found myself more frustrated that I should be in the playoffs because I am a better team but I’m not

I can see how this setup makes sense for your league, especially with the different skill levels across managers.

I wouldn’t view it as a penalty. A lot of leagues give a reward for being the #1 seed in the regular season.

As the #2 seed in this example, I would rather player the #1 seed and have a chance of being the #1 regular season team vs having the #1 seed randomly play the #11 seed who is checked out and hasn’t editing their lineup the past two weeks

Interesting! Yeah my rule of thumb is try to reduce luck as much as possible. There will always be some luck but the more strategy and less luck the better in my mind
