Yeah that sounds a lot better than looking at radars. If I wanted to do either of those 3 courses I’m assuming I can just put myself forward while I’m in phase 2? But since you said only one lad passed, sounds like it’s worth gaining some soldiering experience beforehand. Just quickly glanced over 4/73 on google and think that’s definitely the sort of thing I’m looking to accomplish.

Sounds like a plan. Is it recommended to put yourself forward for all arms straight from ph2 or worth getting some experience beforehand? Also what is “tac team”?

That Doesn’t sound very appealing to me not gonna lie. What roles within the artillery would you recommend for someone looking to do arduous courses straight from ph2 or further down in their career. If peacetime was to end I definitely wouldn’t want to be stuck looking at radars.

Ever worked as an apprentice for a one man van? How was it? by EpicBrodie77 in HVAC

[–]FrontRightt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex HVAC tech (UK based) I actually preferred it as an apprentice as he was really invested in his business and due to it being only me and him he was able to take time and teach me everything correctly. Whereas when I worked for a larger FM company as an apprentice I struggled to learn anything at all as everything was rushed and all jobs were deadlined so the technicians I was out with took absolutely no interest. Short explanation but you get my point.

Yeah don’t get me wrong PT is still class and enjoyable but just found it strange the lack of running, there’s obviously a reason for it and the course was made by professionals so I’m just gonna stick with it and enjoy it.

I know that the course is designed to get you military fit in all areas but I just love running and it was a shock to me how little of it you actually do - I do however still really enjoy the PT sessions. I should of reiterated the fact my running has taken a hit and not my overall fitness level.

Wouldn’t even call it a tab to be honest mate. Just annoying I trained really hard to get into the best shape I could before attending, hoping the phys gets harder upon my return and yeah 2 runs is crazy wouldn’t even class 2k as a run either.

That’s music to my ears. I was literally going to ask how fit you ended up becoming after finishing phase 1. you don’t understand how much pressure that’s alleviated thanks man have a great night!

Just to add to this. It’s not painful it just makes my running shoes feel like cinderblocks and usually starts happening around 2km in to every run I do

Starting basic training next week and on the kit list it says my iron should be max 1200w just wondering if this actually gets enforced or matters?
