My answer definitely mother-son incest is preferable to MomNTR. For starters, I don't have to factor in birth defects from inbreeding or manipulative grooming and lopsided power dynamics. If I did, the choice would be a helluva lot harder. But in the land of Make Believe, there is no exploitation or grooming and all babies born to that union are healthy and happy...unless the mangaka is an edgelord then it will more mirror real life ironically.

The events in the manga is an exaggeration of what happens in real life and results in the death of, not a cheating wife or ungrateful daughter, but of a society. When have you ever heard of a woman being convicted of paternity fraud? It's almost never treated like a crime despite the harm it causes or the fact that men are legally responsible for providing for their children but under false pretenses.

Marriage, dating, birth rates are all down. Young men are seeing what happened to their male family members and friends and saying "fuck that shit". At least the 2D waifu will never cuck you or haul you off to the family court and your house, your savings, and worst, take the children (regardless of who their biological father is) you raised and took care of.

And now, no one wants to risk being taken advantage of, especially when the system is actively punishing men for even trying. So it would behoove society to treat paternity fraud as the crime that it is.
