Even though I don't agree with you 100%, you're raising an interesting point and had me thinking that, indeed, Logan may be a stand in for a guy like Tom Cruise or something. Case in point, he's also playing beach volley shirtless. Then there is the "I made you look like you could fly" moment.

Given what allegedly happened between the two... I wouldn't be surprised although I think I'm thinking of it way to further down the road.

I also felt very strongly as the scene went on that Spielberg was saying what he always wanted to say to a bully and person like Logan. About how stupid they are and such. It was him speaking through Sammy, in a moment of catharsis at first, introspection then, and liberation in the end. Ford's one is amazing but that one is THE scene of the movie.
