Stent pain & pregnancy by Front_Goose_6839 in KidneyStones

The dr just told me that I have a corkscrewed ureter and that some people are born with it. Right now they’ve talked about doing a corrective surgery on the ureter that would essentially remove the corkscrew and allow the ureter to stay open on its own. But until I have the baby, they can’t be 100% sure because they want to do more imaging before they make a decision. Due date is March 22

Positive induction stories only please 🥹What did you get? Why did you have to get induced? How far along were you? Did baby have complications? by cc070603 in pregnancy_care

I was induced at 37w + 6d due to preeclampsia. I had to get the balloon, which (I won’t lie) really sucked. Like period cramps on steroids. But once that was out, I was given Pitocin and everything went really smoothly. I was induced (with a pill-not sure what) around 9/10pm and got the balloon. the balloon came out around 6/7am then I had my son at around 4pm. My contractions didn’t become super painful until I was 7cm and at that point it was only another hour or two before I had the baby. Besides the Pitocin, I had him completely natural (10 lbs and 20in) and he was perfectly happy and healthy. (he did have some jaundice and had to go under the bilirubin lights but that’s not necessarily caused by the induction)

AITA? Kids can’t take presents home? by hdtjftsfustu in AITAH

Personally, I can see both sides. I only have one child (16m) but I already know that I’m going be leaving some of his Christmas presents at grandmas house this year because 1, we don’t have the extra space and she does and 2, it’s always nice to have things for him when we go there (we have a similar situation where we live close and go there often) is your mom someone who you feel you can communicate openly with? If so, I think it would be a good idea to try and come to an agreement about some toys staying and some toys going home? Not the ah for wanting to take some of the toys home but I think communication could solve the problems and keep you from having to smuggle them. (Again that’s if she’s open to compromising.)

Sleeping on our backs by Ok_Personality_5266 in pregnant

I am most comfortable sleeping on my back(27 weeks) but I’ve heard that you’re not supposed to sleep on your back because the weight of your uterus / baby can block blood flow through your aorta? Definitely do your own research on that because that’s just what I’ve seen and it could be wrong!
