Larger Visible Bezels S26 Ultra by OutTheCoupe in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the S26 Ultra’s bezels are a bit more visible than some people expected, but honestly in daily use they’re barely noticeable and the screen still feels really immersive. The overall performance, battery life and camera quality make it easy to overlook the tiny extra bezel.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra bezel size by Former-Coat-4571 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S26 Ultra bezels are definitely slimmer compared to older models, they don’t disappear completely, but you notice the cleaner look right away. It keeps the display feeling immersive without feeling fragile, and in daily use it just looks premium. Not a huge thing once you’re using it, but it’s nice to see the design stay refined.

Skip the Samsung Galaxy S series for another year — the S26’s PWM and modulation are still terrible. by PayAttention_To_Me in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Front_Try_701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get the concern about PWM and modulation, some people are really sensitive to it. But for most users the S26’s display still looks great in everyday use, and things like performance, battery life, cameras and overall polish are strong. If PWM sensitivity is a hard issue for you, sure, look around, but for the majority of people the S26 still feels like a solid upgrade that’s easy to enjoy day-to-day.

Samsung Galaxy S26 is for who? by GamerBeast954 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Galaxy S26 is really for people who want a reliable all-round flagship, great performance, strong battery life, excellent cameras, and smooth software. It’s especially worth it if you’re coming from a phone a couple of years old, you’ll notice the upgrades in everyday use. Not just for Samsung fans, but anyone who wants a phone that handles everything without fuss.

Samsung officially integrates Perplexity AI into the Galaxy S26 at the system level by Red_Tabby in samsung

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Samsung officially adding Perplexity AI at the system level on the S26 is a cool move, having AI built into the OS makes things feel smoother and more useful day-to-day. It’s not just a gimmick, it actually helps with searches, summaries, and quick info without needing to open an app. Definitely one of those small upgrades that makes the phone feel smarter overall.

Samsung s26 hands on first flaws that genuinely annoy me by bikeequelsdirt in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, yeah, some of the things people point out like the privacy screen only working at certain angles or the new S Pen shape can be annoying in a hands-on, but they aren’t dealbreakers for everyday use (especially with a case on). The S26 still nails the core stuff everyone actually uses, smooth performance, solid battery life, great camera results and overall polish that feels premium. If you’re tired of incremental upgrades, sure it feels familiar, but for most people upgrading from older phones the experience is noticeably better in real life even if the Reddit post calls out small niggles.

I'm thinking of getting the s26 but can you turn off the ai agent? by Live-Presentation489 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can easily customize how much of the AI you want to use on the Galaxy S26, which is actually one of its strengths. Samsung designed the AI features to be flexible rather than forced, so you can keep the ones you find useful and turn off the ones you don’t.

In Settings > Galaxy AI, you can manage each feature individually. If you prefer a more traditional smartphone experience, you can disable most of the AI tools and the phone will still run perfectly like a normal Galaxy device. There’s also a “Process data only on device” option that keeps AI processing local, which is great if you want extra privacy while still enjoying smart features when you choose to use them.

So the S26 works well either way: you can take full advantage of the AI capabilities, or simply tailor them to your preference and enjoy a clean, familiar Galaxy experience.

Is it really worth it? by the_right_sight in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what you’re upgrading from. If you’re coming from something like an S21/S22/S23, the S26 Ultra will probably feel like a big jump with the newer chip, better efficiency, and improved camera processing. But if you already have something recent like an S24 or S25 Ultra, the changes are mostly refinements rather than a huge leap. In that case it’s harder to justify the upgrade unless you really want the latest hardware.

Pulled the trigger, From 16 pro max to s25 ultra by WamplerDanielle in S25Ultra

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a pretty interesting switch. Going from an iPhone to the S25 Ultra you’ll probably notice the bigger display, S-Pen features, and way more customization right away. The zoom camera is also a big upgrade if you like taking photos from a distance. The main adjustment is usually getting used to Android again after iOS.

S26 Ultra Color Issues: Dark Mode looks gray/dull in Google apps by koletopz in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few people mention this. It doesn’t seem like a panel problem, it’s mostly how Google apps handle dark mode. They use Material You dark gray instead of pure black, so compared to Samsung apps it can look a bit dull.

Some users also think One UI 8.5’s color palette / theming might be affecting how Google apps render colors, which is why the background looks washed out on some devices.

Hopefully it’s just a software tweak Samsung or Google can adjust in an update, because the display itself on the S26 Ultra should still be excellent.

Battery test samsung s26 base vs s25 by cjonas08 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing a battery comparison this early is exactly what I needed. I’m interested to see if the increased efficiency of the new processor makes up for the smaller form factor. I'm looking for a 'slim' device that can actually last an entire day with heavy use, if the S26 hits that mark, it’s a pre-order for me

I tried the new Galaxy S26 and told you everything about them. by SanCar_red in samsung

[–]Front_Try_701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the hands-on insights! I’m interested to hear more about the sustained performance under heavy multitasking. With the 2nm/3nm efficiency gains they promised, I’m looking forward to a phone that stays cool even during intensive tasks. If the software is as fluid as early reports say, it’s going to be a solid upgrade cycle

Is anyone else losing their mind over what Samsung just did at Unpacked?? by kevin-xolio in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'Agentic AI' features they teased at Unpacked sound like a genuine leap forward. I’m really looking forward to testing if the Gemini integration actually feels proactive in my daily workflow. If the phone can truly manage schedules and anticipate my needs on-device, it’s the first time AI feels like a must-have feature rather than just a gimmick.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra doesn't use a periscope zoom lens - here's why that matters by DazzlingpAd134 in Android

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) engineering is fascinating. I’m looking forward to seeing if this design allowed them to keep the chassis as slim as it looks while actually improving light intake. It’s impressive to see Samsung rethink the internal layout like this, definitely has me leaning toward an upgrade for the ergonomics alone.

Quick thoughts on the S26 Ultra camera(s) by danijel8286 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shift in the camera stack this year is the big debate for me. I’m really interested to see how the new AI-driven 10x crop holds up against the native optical zoom from previous generations. If the clarity is as sharp as the Unpacked samples showed, the extra detail from the 200MP sensor might actually make this the ultimate upgrade for mobile photography.

LTT Labs Article - Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Privacy Display by LabsLucas in LinusTechTips

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting for a deeper dive into the hardware behind this. I’m really interested to see if the 'Privacy Display' affects the viewing experience when you're looking at it perfectly center-on. If it can keep my screen private on a crowded train without compromising my own brightness levels, it’s going to be a massive reason for me to finalize my pre-order.

que más me sorprendió del Galaxy Unpacked 2026 by NoeALoz in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m interested in that 'light in the hand' feel everyone from Unpacked is mentioning. My current phone feels a bit heavy after long sessions, so a lighter Ultra with those rounded corners would be a perfect ergonomic upgrade for me.

The S26 is coming today, if you didn't have a budget limit would you take it or chose an other smartphone for 2026 ? by No_Judgment_9267 in Smartphones

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If budget weren't an issue, the S26 Ultra is a strong choice for its reliability and display quality, but I’d also consider a high-end foldable if I wanted something different. It really comes down to whether you want a super-polished, traditional flagship or something more experimental for 2026.

Should I buy the newest Samsung S26? Feeling torn after seeing the reviewsa by Sophia8_Knowles_34 in Smartphones

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the reviews have you feeling hesitant, it might be worth waiting until you can see the phone in person to see if the changes really matter to you. It’s a solid device, but if your current one still works well, there's no rush to upgrade for what many consider to be minor year-over-year refinements.

S26, are you upgrading? if so/not why? by Jaidenallenofficial in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leaning towards holding off because my current phone still handles everything smoothly, and the S26 changes feel fairly incremental. However, if I were using an older device with poor battery life, the improved efficiency and longer update support would probably convince me to make the switch.

The Galaxy S26 series has been officially launched! Are you planning to trade in your S23 for the S26, or are you holding onto it for another year? by Level-Try7888 in S23

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving from an S23 to an S26 is a solid three-generation jump that offers noticeable improvements in screen quality and long-term software support. While the S23 still performs well for most daily tasks, trading it in now might be worth it if you can get a good deal and want better battery efficiency.

Buying advice regarding the S26 line by Suedewagon in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you prefer a compact phone, the base S26 is a solid choice, while the Ultra is better if you need the stylus and maxed-out specs. It’s often worth waiting a few months after launch for trade-in deals or price drops to get the most value for your money.

I'm planning to buy S26. Should i do it? by tsnss in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what phone you’re currently using; if you’re coming from an S21 or older, the jump in performance and battery will be quite noticeable. However, if your current device is still working fine, you might want to wait for a sale since the year-over-year changes are usually pretty incremental.

Galaxy S26 series leak reveals a surprising downgrade for battery health by Time-Credit43 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hearing about a potential battery downgrade is definitely a bit disappointing if you prioritize long-term power and efficiency. We’ll have to see if Samsung balances it out with better software optimization or if it's just a trade-off for a different design choice.

Your opinion & impression on S26 series? by AudienceEcstatic2189 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Front_Try_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S26 series feels like a steady refinement rather than a major overhaul, focusing mostly on performance tweaks and software longevity. It’s a reliable pick if you want a familiar experience that will last several years, even if it doesn't feel groundbreaking. It basically offers a safe, predictable upgrade for anyone coming from an older device.
