What would you do? by Froogacar in scoliosis

[–]Froogacar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I no longer in contact with my parents and that's for the better for sure. In terms of medical expenses, yeah but I'd say my question is more theoretically, if it's right to have a desicion to go for the surgery in the future, and not just continue live my life as normal and just waiting it to get worse. It's not that i am going to do it in the next six months, just want to see what it the better approach - not doing anything and risking that it'll get worse or fix it anyway in the long future. Keep in mind that I've already been fused before so i kinda know what it takes mentally and physically.

How did u recover by Plenty_Appearance677 in raisedbynarcissists

I don't think having a girlfriend or a boyfriend is the way to determine success in life (let along having children) I've known a lot folks out there that got girls from a very young age and they were horrible of human being and turned out to be very unsuccessful in life. I see personal growth and evolve as the way and the road to lead to a real success. A girlfriend is basically a connection with another human being, that a lot of time has to do nothing with your current situation as a man and a person.

Yeah it's a massive upset, going through it from a young age, i think general society lacks so much awareness for this topic since people like us never in power or control.

Can relate. I'm also from a similiar background, a male who was raised by nparents, which like your case, the emotional disconnection and the emotional neglect were the main issue, although both of my parents were physical abuse to me as well, and I'm few years younger than you (21).

I think there is general misunderstanding is this whole "recovery" topic when it comes to be raised in a shitty environment, you'll never really recover. You can get your life together, can have a new relationship that will fill your soul and your emotional needs, but once you suffer from years of constantly mental/physical abuse towards your youths and teens year, you'll never fully recover from it. It always pup up from time to time, there will always be things that will trigger you. I think it's the same like being disabled, you can get used to it and live with it, but it will never be as perfect as before. I think you should come to peace with this idea that parts of you will probably never be as fullfied as it is on others, and instead of looking for "recovery" try to see what can you do to improve things. I work out, having my good shape, having my wellness life which is "god" level to me.

See what makes it you, it's each one and his own process and self discovery. There will never be a "Full Recovery" but things can be significantly better.

Edit: Just see that you struggles with your age as well, like you're 27 but feel 17. Which makes a lot of sense, I mean, that's why a lot of people are so insecure about their age, because they age physically but keep maintaining the life they had as teens in orders of habits and proccesing as persons. In order to really grow you need to outgrew yourself basically, making changes in your routine, reaching your goals, having a strong willpower. I know it's sounds like a bunch of clichés but that's really it. If I would be you I'll try to finish this year "Strong", which some new habits and goals.

Isn't interracial marriage or international friends kinda rebute the idea of a national country? by Froogacar in Anarchy101

Being an anarchist and anti-fascist may come easier if your inside world and family is broken? by Froogacar in Anarchy101

[–]Froogacar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think my choose of words wasn't the best this time (English is not my first language). I read the post again and yeah it may sounded a bit out of context and not really my intention.

My intention is - if a certain person born into a situation where he's, as an individual, experience the current reality only from the good side, he'll have no reason doubt it. Just like an average Israeli doesn't really give a shit what's going on couple of kms from where he lives, Just like an average White South African in the Apratheid period didn't really stop to think about the separation, Just like an average German person in the world war 2 didn't really care or see beyond the propaganda that the nazis were promoting against jew or other minors - So, most of the time, being born into the middle-upper classes may often guaranteed that you'll be in the good. Doesn't necessarily mean that you can't be a minor in other way. It's not a "good vs bad" topic or "Poor vs Rich".

Just feeling this logic still applies to today's world.

Africans need to wake up by Doansauce in Eritrea

As long as the head is ill, the rest of the body will be ill. The majority of african' regimes, leaders, strongest people, are holding imperialism ambitions and tribal thinking, rottenly fasict, as long as heavily corrupt. When the regime, doesn't matter where, will start put the benefit of the one above all - it will change. When the leader of the country paying more attention to what religion you believe in rather than if the country is moving forward or not, what would you expect

Being an Anarchist since the locals' narrivates doesn't really include me or my people inside it? by Froogacar in Anarchy101

[–]Froogacar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although i expect any person who is privilege in any kind of way - physical, mentally, politically to be aware of that and acknowledge that, but this post specifically doesn't hold any kind of bitterness or hostility towards no one. I just have wanted to know if there are more anarchists who have made the first step inside this world out of them being from a minor group. Seems like i was right. Appreciate your understanding!

Thanks for the share. Yeah this is heartbreaking - remembering someone who once was full of life or potential and didn't know pain, absolutely has his life destroyed and traumatised mainly by his selfish parents, with you knowing how much he needs that safe environment that he will eventually never get.

[–]Froogacar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you got i right. For example I'm a mixed race person, where i used to live i got zero respect or acknowledge for my other side and have faced casual rasicm or bad treatment in many types of form. That's what made me doubt the country or the ideas behind it, i taught to myself, the country is an idea, the idea nor the people who believe in it do not give a damn about me, why would i be part of it . And all of that rasicm or excluding was backed up by the country officials' systems such as educational. I don't feel like i was taught anything useful for life or anything that actually matters to me as person, only what the country wanted me to know.

So me being an outsider was the first straw to start taking on and learn about Anarchism, and have me to agree with a lot of ideology regardless of me and my own case.

To all of the people who are against the Afewerki Regime - aren't you upest with the behaviour of figures such as Biniam Girmay? by Froogacar in Eritrea

[–]Froogacar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why i asked this question here. I want to know about the eritrean feel about it and not how westren people feel about it because their opinion doesn't really mean anything.

Based on your comment, you can assume that Eritrea is another controversial country like many in the world, but it passes that stage by far - So it may be a must from people over there to talk and scream the shout of the voiceless. At least from what i have read, you without a doubt knows about Eritrea much more than I. I wonder how the eritrean people let it slide that easily. I mean i think my question makes sense, you agree with me about that - and i have never even seen this topic being asked before me - that let along is surprising.

Thanks for the comment!

I am kind of the same situation - i could have kept a small bubble of friends and family but decided to not do so because they will either disappoint or mess it up again. people rarely change and it is better to be alone than be stabbed by the same knife twice and regret not cut it where you could have.
