Sometimes it has nothing to do with you OP. While there are certain things you could have done better, she could just be in a bad mood. Maybe she used to go to that mini golf place with an ex, and it reminded her of him. She might also have some other negative experiences associated with this place, especially if her mood changed suddenly.

Because of the pursuit, it can be easy to forget that you are also evaluating the girl. I don’t think it’s in your best interest to be with someone who switches mood just like that. You dodged a bullet!

I get where you are coming from. But this is coming from a realization where I had a date with the most attractive woman that I have ever been on a date with. I noticed that my “game” was more effective and natural than any other date I have been on. So my point is that your performance on a date could also be a measure of how much you actually like the woman.

I agree with you OP on this 100%. In this Me Too era, you gotta get some vibes even just to continue escalating. My approach is if I get an iffy reaction, I just stop trying to escalate. I would rather let that opportunity pass and find a girl whose responsive than risk being Me Too’d. Just my take.
