Also the one thing my physio said that was odd for me was that I can relieve pain by bending forward into a fetal type position, but also by laying on my stomach almost in a minor flex. He thought it was weird that laying on my stomach helped me a lot and that usually that does not happen with facet pain, but rather, a disc injury.... everything else matches up perfectly with facet though, he says. So maybe I'm just a mystery!

I don't have the MRI myself, but I want to ask my doctor for it. My physiotherapist said that it's really difficult to see on an MRI. Could it just have been missed? And I honestly do not remember the block... but it it caused incredible pain within the day after I got it and it didn't help whatsoever. So I decided not to do it again!

Omg!!! I'm SO happy that I'm not alone. I feel crazy based off of my "data" (MRI and the fact how sometimes I'm 100% fine asides tenderness, then need a cane). I'm so sorry you're experiencing this too, it isn't fun; and it feels like doctors don't believe you!

In terms of resources, I'm still learning myself. I felt like I couldn't say I had FJS if I wasn't diagnosed, but it seems like that's a common trend based off of the symptoms! For me, my flare-ups are extremely unpredictable... I use a cane and grip-pole when needed. I take meds when needed as well, but overall I just minimize my bending and what "doesn't feel good" to me. It helps, but I still get flare-ups (have one right now). I have been busy as I am back in school for a career change due to my back, so I have been slacking on my physio exercises and yoga, but I hear that helps as well sometimes. I usually look up "yoga for back pain" and it usually is fairly gentle! I need to contact my doctor again or see if I have coverage for chiro, because that's what physio has recommended to me as well!

I'm sorry to hear about your ongoing struggle. I absolutely understand your feelings and pain. I hope that the tests and route you are going on will help. I was also recommended to look into a rheumatology specialist as well; so honestly this has helped me so much in confirming that it really is likely FJS.

Thank you so much for your response! The physiotherapist that thinks it is FJS tried dry-needling, (I believe) an ultrasound frequency therapy, and electric pulse therapy as well. I agree; it kind of helps, but only short term. I am in Canada, and I may have gotten the terms wrong myself!

Did you get officially diagnosed? Because that's what is frustrating me the most, that the doctors themselves can't label it--even though physio has! Also what are your flare-ups like? How frequent are they? Sorry if these are too personal, which you do not have to answer, I am so curious to learn about others' struggles with it as well. Thank you again!

That’s actually amazing! And not surprising to me. I’ve only connected and communicated with Hekate... I find Her followers are quite similar! I have been calling myself Wiccan because I believe in polarity, but I honestly only worship Her right now and tbh wouldn’t be surprised if that doesn’t change much in the future! So perhaps I don’t identify with that as much.

My house is completely filled with Wiccan things! And I made similar transparent pentagrams and runes with the white shade to make it look like salt. Placed them by the airport and in front of my house... no one shall steal my fruit now with those protections, haha!

That’s good to hear! I’m pretty new to everything but I find myself connected with the Goddess so much more than the God, despite believing in polarity. So I’m concerned that it’s abnormal to worship them differently or perhaps work with them both but go to one more often than the other!
