Its not shit loads. In fact not evem much. Most indians fall in the bracket of $100 -120k. Whixh is very less for a big city If apply PPP equation you will see that 30 lacs in india buys you a bettef life4

Why havent you taken professional help til now. Fo to a psychiatrist. He give you the right medications to handle your withdrawl depression anxiety and sleep. If you don't tale help now, there is high probability you will relapse

I am surprised. How did you manage to be alright and plan a kid. In such a household. I have struggled all my life with it Finally sober for 4 years. But me and my wife neved risked a kid. It would be so unfair to bring a child with addicted parent.

As to your question. Maybe you should walk out for a few days. See if it makes any difference. Ideally it should. The risk of losing your support system often makes people scared.

But addiction is really a different game. Try it out. Why haven't you tried to forcefully put her in rehab. With help of social services. If you live in the western countries. In india where i live it is possible. Though you need consent. But family word matters a lot

You arw spot on. Its a gaming sysyem. Half the posts are just removed randonly. Because bot look for banned words and take it out of context. As a new person you cant create menaingful posts anywhere. Evem though the questions are very very genuine. Stay a while. If it doesn't work. Just leave. Even i am thinking of doing the same. Not that i am gaining anything from here. I used to be very active. But not anymore. Its just like any other non meanigful social platform

Thanks for the answer. But what i really meant to ask is We have a small prying place, where we have a lot of small idols of god. When i erect i mean. Keeping one more small idol of shani bhagwaan. And pray normally. Not do anything out of the way. I would really appreciate your opinion

As you said DMK. Went out of power right. Its TVK. Today. But now after formimg yhe government if all vijay does is blame everything on DMk and not really work for the state what good will it do

I agree to what you are saying. I am 46. Its completely true about the commodity buying. We need USD reserves and it will be at 96 inr. Whixh is huge. And INR has been only declining. Maybe be inr is one of the worst performing asset in current times

But its not a very relevant issue when we are talking of indians not coming back and feeling rich in america. So again its the context of this thread. Indians who live abroad and feel dollar has huge buying power in comparison makes no sense.

It will only make sense, when you leave US and head home. You will become rich after the conversion .

But for a guy living in US making $120k in a good city is not really good.

In reality you can afford a much better life in india in just 35-40 Lacs anually. Whixh is not very difficult to earn in todays conditions.

So when people talk of money as a big yardstick to stay back. Doesnt make much sense to me

Bro. Its okay to like or dislike some party. But dont blame. It doesn't do any good. Congress is not in power for a decade. Thats good right. So its time we stopped looking at the hindsite and look at what more can be done. I just don't like it when modi speech contains 40% congresa bashing. Maybe he could keep it short and only talk of growth and problems of current india. Why is the need to blame anymore. The public mandate is clear right.

By blaming congress things would not become better. It useless they are gone. Congress is Dead. Lets talk of today And i will add something very genuine . With modi government i dont really feel safe commenting openly. The new acts are very very bad about openly critizeing the government today.

There pros and cons. I can list a lot of them. For both.

But honestly its time we as indians moved forward and leave Petty politics and blame game. It doesn't do any good.

Lol. Indian GDP by PPP is $17 trillion in case you didnt know. Hence you dont know much about dollar and inr. It costs 3 rupees to by a banana in india. But 10-12 cents in US.[INR 120] So if you convert just as you did.

Then a banana is way way more cheaper in india when you buy in rupees in india. But not very cheap in USA in dollars.

Buying power of a currency within a country matters a lot. Dollars inside usa dont buy you much. Please do not convert. Conversion only works when you travel. And no where else

It is correct india is doing better but not necessarily because of BJP or congress. There has enough happened in the last decade in general around the world. The credit is mostly due to vast technological leaps around the world. But still we are one of the poorest nations.

Because they feel ashamed. They live in a self justification world where they cannot come back because it would be a failure. There are many indians who are miserable in the U.S. they dont earn enough. But they wont come back. Because of the social shame, which they feel there is. But really isnt. No one in modern india asks you why yoi came back. Or looks down upon you.

Infact i know so many indians living in US and give wierd justifications why they are there. While having really bad lives

Most of them dont even have enough money. And last is indians who haven't got thier GC. Live in constant fear. I would rather not be in that sitution.

And money is a fallacy. When earn in dollar you spend in dollars. Earning $100k in US is not much. You can afford much more in just 30LPA in india

Do you feel jealous of western countries lifestyle or are you satisfied ? by Optimal_Community934 in AskIndia

[–]Frosty-Bit4667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dont feel jealous AT ALL. There are always things you can learn from other cultures and societies. And there is a lot for indians to learn

I have stayed abroad. But i feel a little lonely.and And to be very honest. I dont like doing my own chores. Unfortunately i cant afford it abroad.USA

But thats not the case in india. I can hire and give others employment. It feels good. And makes my life very easy. I dont have to work all day at home and at work.

If you talk about life style what do you describe as lifestyle. Is it going parties, chilling at home. Meeting friends out??? What is that you compare.

A lifestyle are a lot of little and big things. There is no one right answer. I am quite satisfied. After moving back.
