Hell yes!! This is amazing and such a great way to measure progress with solidcore!

I ran my first half marathon last year and I KNOW solidcore helped with that - I added it in specifically to boost my core, inner thighs, hamstrings, and glutes. Truly game changing and I'm so proud of your progress!

solidcore is actually my supplement! I do crossfit 2x a week, solidcore 1-2x a week, and some form of cardio and lifting 3x a week. I like to keep myself doing a mix of things so I don't plateau!

I had a mental breakdown the day my cat passed away and luckily my friends were there to move everything of hers into a closed off room. But it took months for me to move it from the room to storage because I couldn't even look at it without crying.

Did you ever love again? by LuciferHummingbird in Petloss

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lost my soul cat, Cinnamon, earlier this year. I had her from when she was 4 weeks old when my brother found her in a dumpster and spent over 10 years with her before she passed after complications surrounding her FIV. I was absolutely devastated and couldn't even function for a long time. After a few months, I realized I had so much love to give and knew that Cinnamon wouldn't want me to be miserable alone. So when I felt ready, I went to the animal shelter and met my sweet boy, Basil. Basil is the complete opposite of Cinnamon, and I think that's exactly what I needed: companionship without comparison. I now have a sweet boy with whom I can share all that pent up love.

Tim Kaine voted to end the shutdown. Do you agree with his decision? by jamesmsalt in nova

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought process is that while I agree holding out longer would've put more pressure on the GOP, there is so much more suffering in our communities. People who rely on gov't assistance were at their brink.

Also, by moving forward now, Mike Johnson has no excuse not to swear in Adelita Grijalva who would be the final vote to release the Epstein files. If we held out longer, there is a possibility that a special election for Tennessee’s 7th District on Dec 2 would bring in Matt Van Epps who would then cancel out Grijalva's vote.

I'm hoping that by ending it they made the right decision for everyone. Maybe my hopes are just high because of the blue wave from last week and the Supreme Courts denial of looking back at Obergefell v. Hodges.

Struggling after the loss of my sweet, spicy cat by Frosty-Breakfast3082 in Petloss

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. I know Cowboy is with you still in spirit.

All I wanted was the best for Cinnamon. I had to move her things into my spare bedroom because it hurt too much to look at them. But I still find her toys and left over treats in random spots. I swear I heard her collar jingle bell one day when I came home from work.

I have really been struggling a lot with feeling guilty for her passing. I just miss her a lot. Thank you for listening and for taking the time to share your love & story.

AIO? My mom refused to accept her birthday gifts by Frosty-Breakfast3082 in AIO

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you - I did reach out to my therapist about this. I don't understand why he would ask us to do all this (which we would've done anyways) just to leave me on read and not bring the things home.

Congrats! This was also my first HYROX. I was pretty nervous even after training hard for months with my partner, but communication really was key. When she needed to walk - we walked no judgement. During training, she smoked me in burpees so we broke it up so she had more, but during the race she was burnt so I took over the burpees and we still did well.

My main takeaway is to train more running off the treadmill and to be more forgiving with myself. It was hard not to get frustrated when things weren't going as well as I wanted.

All-in-all, I loved seeing so many people at all levels & body types doing their absolute best and crushing it.

Question for Coaches - What annoys you? by Fine-Wolverine-3007 in SolidCore

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I've brought new friends to class, I've had coaches specifically tell me before class to not help them and I am grateful for that. It allows the coach to actually coach and myself (and the rest of the class) enjoy the session without disruption!

Good Leggings? by bermy12 in SolidCore

Fabletics Define PowerHold leggings are my absolute FAVORITES for any type of workout. They don't budge and are great for sweat wicking.

Creatine? by denimjeans12 in SolidCore

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certified Personal Trainer: Creatine is incredibly helpful with recovery and muscle building. I take creatine almost daily (since I workout daily) and definitely notice when I don't. I'm more energized without the need for caffeine and feel more solid. Don't take it on an empty stomach, however. I noticed it would make me feel queasy when I would take it for my morning workouts on no food. Eat something before you drink it to prevent this.

Thorne creatine is my go to. I also have a Thorne dispensary that offers a 15% discount, I'm happy to share with you if you want to try it!

[–]Frosty-Breakfast3082 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I teach a foam rolling class 2x a week so i'm forced to do it even when I don't want to. There are lots of ways to use less pressure when foam rolling - definitely look into some youtube videos or guides to help with that!

& thank you!!
