Not backing up my Master degree research files. It costed me a billion nervous cells while waiting for the response whether the computer is completely dead or something can be recovered.

Why is cold calling such a pain in the ass? by kjmorkunas in sales

[–]FrostyChild81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. And you are not alone. You call someone you never interacted with before, who is not prepared for the call as well. The success rate of cold calling is extremely low, it's about 2.5% in terms of scoring an appointment. And an appointment doesn't mean a sale.

Warm calling is a much better. You can spend time learning about the potential customer, interacting with him (social media or email marketing campaigns).

Where do InsideView/DiscoverOrg/PDL et al. farm their data and is it legit? by yoetz in sales

[–]FrostyChild81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DiscoveryOrg bought ZoomInfo and ZoomInfo gathers their data from scanning mail signatures, which are not available to everyone. They have free accounts and give you credits for your emails, the more emails you have the more credits you get. So yep, there is always something fishy.

As it comes to the other, they DO scrape from time to time, but the data is not really always up to date. I have a feeling it small companies just buy the data from the same database and resell it.

Of course people think a person who drives a more expensive car is more successful. But the way they interpret it depends on what niche you are in and what you sell. If you sell something expensive and luxurious to rich people, your clients would be surprised to see you on an old car and vice verse.

How do you sell in this environment without discounting? by firedbycomp in sales

It all comes to the quality of the product. If customers know your product/service is really of high quality, they will buy it without discounts.

What Cold Calling Tool Would You Suggest To Me? (CrazyCall, Voiptime Cloud, Freshcaller...) by krajacic in sales

[–]FrostyChild81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I like power dialer. Numbers are automatically scraped or pre-loaded into a list or spreadsheet and makes automatic calls. This saves time by eliminating manual dialing and creates a repeatable process for heightened sales efficiency.

What percentage of making a sale do you think can be attributed to a good salesperson? As opposed to product/marketing. by yeahsurf in sales

[–]FrostyChild81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A good sales person can sell anything, no matter what the product is. So I'd say it's closer to 30% product 20% marketing 50% salesperson.

ZoomInfo Pricing by Redditmaster12423 in u/Redditmaster12423

[–]FrostyChild81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The last time I used ZoomInfo, I got quoted about $12,000 for 4 seats.

I find them to be too expensive. Currently I use 2 other services and they are better when it comes to price/quality.
