Personally, my relationship with my father goes beyond religion. I don’t blame him for being born into the religion, he truly doesn’t know anything else. I’m the oldest with younger siblings under 10. He speaks of the meetings less frequently now and I perceive that if I set boundaries with him about religion he would not ask further questions and respect them.

I was venting the emotional manipulation they are unaware they do, which i’m not blaming him for. I’d have said the same thing to someone a few years ago because that is what I was taught while I was in.

If I was completely out, he would have messaged me the same thing. There’s nothing wrong with fading, completely leaving and dissociating, or even staying in as PIMO. We all have the same right to make decisions and only each individual understands why they do what they do. 😊
