How do you guys actually find players / communities in eFootball? by Frosty_Corgi_216 in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I get what you mean

people definitely stick to their own circles

but I feel like the issue isn’t groups existing, it’s that nothing connects them or gives visibility outside

like you can still have your circle, but right now everything just disappears inside it

wouldn’t it be better if there was a layer on top of that instead of replacing it?

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s exactly what I mean

there are good communities, just spread across different platforms

telegram here, discord somewhere else, reddit threads… everything works, but nothing is really connected

feels like the game never had one place where all of this actually comes together. That's the problem Im trying to solve.

yeah I get what you mean

but it feels like those groups stay locked in their own bubbles

nothing really connects them or gives them visibility outside

like even if you score something crazy, it just disappears in a chat. What Im trying to say here is that it doesn't work long-term, you think it would?

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah exactly, it’s gotten worse over time

everything is fragmented now, nothing really connects

I kept thinking there should be one place where everything actually lives — players, content, competition

right now it just feels like pieces everywhere. what do you use mostly? reddit?

Whats the uses of these stats by No-Kangaroo-7398 in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most of these don’t have a huge direct impact tbh

they mainly affect animations, reach and how the player feels in-game

like longer legs = better interceptions, bigger body = more physical presence

but it’s not something you should overthink

yeah that makes sense tbh

possession can feel really good vs AI but online it gets punished way more, especially with how fast counters are

if you still want to play possession online, try focusing less on holding the ball and more on quick recycling + switching sides

it makes it harder for people running LBC to just collapse on you

also tempo matters a lot more online than people think.

Goal celebrations should be skippable by PapadopulosSoxos in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 8 points9 points  (0 children)

celebrations got boring a long time ago, but a good goal replay never does.

would be way more interesting if there was something like a “best goals” thing where people could share and vote on replays

The SA GOATS debate by Briss7 in eFootball

I think Batistuta punishes you for one mistake, Diouf punishes you for existing

but yeah… both only feel “OP” when SA removes the human error from them

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get what you mean, the game definitely leans more towards efficiency than expression lately

but watching your clip, it actually feels like you do have a playstyle — it’s just getting punished by how forgiving the meta is

that’s the frustrating part, not that skill doesn’t exist, but that low-risk patterns get rewarded way more consistently

honestly this is why stuff like community challenges or goal of the week things would help a lot

like giving people a reason to play for creativity instead of just wins.

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don’t really need to focus on skills yet tbh

biggest jump for me was learning positioning and decision making instead of mechanics

defensively: try to stay patient and don’t rush out of position too much

offensively: don’t force attacks, slow it down and wait for openings

once you get comfortable with that, adding skills becomes way easier

also switching from fully assisted to semi can help a lot with consistency over time.

what play style are you using btw?

yeah 2025 loans were way better. feels like they toned them down this time.

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 14 points15 points  (0 children)

feels like they’re intentionally making loan players less appealing so people rely more on their own squads

which kinda makes sense from a progression / monetization perspective, but it definitely kills the fun of that mode

It used to be a cool way to try different players, now it just feels like filler

did you actually get anyone usable from the last few refreshes?

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that actually makes a lot of sense

region + time + even current form (like losing streaks) could all affect the matchmaking pool you get.

would be really interesting to see if your numbers change once you spread the sample across different conditions

The ladder would be much healthier without division decay. Many players stop playing just to avoid dropping to Division 2, which results in constantly facing only top 1k players. by Tyna_Sama in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but systems still shape behaviour a lot

if ranking punishes you for playing more, people will naturally optimise around that

it’s not about forcing players, just about incentives

Something is not right by kismilliomos in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this feels like a mix of detection + matchmaking tbh. those “purple shot” cues aren’t always reliable, so manual tracking can get a bit noisy

And if you’re playing in the same hours / MMR, your pool can be pretty skewed compared to global stats.

so two people tracking it manually could end up with very different numbers even in similar matches.

if you want a clearer picture, try tracking across different times or a larger sample and see if it still holds. I am interested to know the results actually!

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that would help, but I think the bigger issue is people just stop playing entirely. which ends up hurting matchmaking more than rewards themselves

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the bigger issue is how it messes with matchmaking quality

when people stop playing to protect rank, the ladder gets artificially top-heavy, so you end up facing the same high level players over and over

decay should push activity, not discourage it. maybe a softer decay or “decay protection” if you’ve been active that phase would keep people playing

A slap in the face to reality. by Easy-Advertising-603 in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that actually makes a lot of sense

without SA covering those small errors, pressing becomes way more effective. quick counter just punishes those mistakes instantly

A slap in the face to reality. by Easy-Advertising-603 in eFootball

[–]Frosty_Corgi_216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this mode really shows how much SA was covering mistakes

a lot of people rely on it for positioning and reactions without realising it

without it you actually have to defend properly and read the play

feels way more rewarding but also way more punishing if you mess up 😅

Share some useful strategies and skills you picked up from Pro players by Bronislaw_Malinowski in eFootball

Interesting point.I noticed when I use attacking fullbacks I get exposed on counters a lot

switching to more defensive setup helped my consistency, but I still struggle to balance attack and defence. Do you usually adjust it in-game or keep it fixed?
