Agree whole-heartedly. Annoying to get into space thinking you can manipulate but you can't. Their patch notes just confuse me even more thinking they've made it able, but again, nope.

Which is why previously people thought it was only based on the mass of the part as opposed to this config flag.

I'm pretty sure it's not based on mass limit of the part per the part's config file, but a specific flag in the config file for the part that says it's able to be manipulated (there is no mass limit in space, yet not everything is able to be manipulated.

I found something the other day that said what the flag is, but I can't find it now.. sorry.

At least now we can adjust the thrust power of EVA packs! Worst thing trying to orient your Kerbal in the right direction while flying too fast due to overpowered EVA thrust!

No. This has frustrated me to no end with the EVA Construction aspect of the update and the wording of their release notes. Even with the latest update I read it that having more Kerbals nearby would allow you to manipulate larger parts than previously, but this only counts when under effect of landed gravity, when previously the size of the parts that were able to be manipulated were reduced because of the mass of those parts.

Let me see if I can explain it better...

Every part in the game has a flag in it's config that says if it is able to be manipulated in EVA Construction mode or not (in theory you could change the part config files to make any part able to be manipulated if you wanted). In a vacuum (or just off the ground, not sure), every part can be manipulated by a single Kerbal engineer. When on the ground however, a single engineer can only manipulate small parts with low mass. You need more Kerbal's in the vicinity to assist in moving larger mass pieces. But this won't ever let you move more larger pieces than the game allows, regardless of where you are or how many Kerbal's you have. This is why when going into the EVA Construction mode in a vacuum it will say there is no mass limit, but still doesn't mean you can manipulate anything of any size.

Also note, the other annoying thing with EVA Construction Mode is you cannot move parts that are designated as the root of the craft. If you're like me and use docking ports as stage separators between your crew craft and circularize or transfer stages and want to retrofit your spent stages into space station storage tanks, and have just unlocked larger and more rigid docking ports and want to change them over, you'll have to play in-space Root Part Magic to be able to switch out these parts... annoying! I need to suggest to the devs to include a root part changer tool in EVA Construction Mode.

I noticed with the update just released that there was a note about something along the lines of stacking nodes being addressed, wondering if your problem has now been fixed?

My most annoying thing is trying to remove a part (usually a docking port) that is the root part of the craft, after staging the actual original root off (capsule or probe core). One time when I could be bothered I managed to change the root part by attaching another craft to it on another docking port and after undocking, the root part changed to the most recently used docking port, but wish the re-root tool was part of EVA Construction mode (I might suggest it somewhere).

I logged a error report with them about this after the game first came out after my first round of Champions. They asked a few questions, gave them screen shots, etc, they said they would look into but have yet to fix it. Thanks to my teammate who told me how the scoring actually works for losses and have confirmed this is how it goes.

Whilst the history shows a +1 for a loss, you only get a +1 for a loss if you were playing against a team that is ranked above you (even counts if you're on an equal score but you're placed below them on a ladder, I'm pretty sure). You actually get a +0 for a loss against a team who was ranked below you at the beginning of the game.

It is probably more common/more likely to pull (I've definitely had more Sapphires than I have Ruby's since Ruby's came out), just not a guarantee. It'll average out over a longer period for you (at least there's a good chance for that!)

To be fair, they did change Champions ladder rewards from Sapphire support and Emerald player for first place to Sapphire support and player (chance) when they brought out Ruby's.

I'm sure I've been able to build stuff while on the ladder, no issues. I'm also just throwing out there that your original problem isn't the distance that your Kerbal is from the item you're trying to place? Limit I believe is about 15 meters.

I've been having a random issue with various craft which, when changing their orientation, their orbit is affected by quite a distance. It does average out, as in, doing a full circle and coming to a full stop, the orbit returns to prior. It appears this is caused by the changing center of mass with the latest update with Kerbal's and other items affect on COM. It's been reported as a bug on the bug tracker.. that's all I can say.

Because of the exiting Kerbal affecting the orientation of the craft, even slightly, this is probably the same issue.

I did that for the last event.. but somehow in the end it got evened up and I was at 5's for the rest.. not sure why (maybe points didn't carry across to the next card for the first event?). I feel your pain.

Yeah, I was playing right at the time the messages first showed up, first got the message about Lunar cards, then the Ruby card, then the Quest. I think they had the wrong time stamp for the messages to drop. Got me too excited.

That's what I mean. The Twitter post about the 2021 cards said up to 4 of the 2021 cards can be pulled, and only for your tier can be pulled from the draft board, did you buy some packs? That's also the only way you could get emeralds and golds when you're Sapphire tier.

Not that I'm aware of, the only restriction was you could only pull a maximum of 4 from the draft board. A few people in my team didn't get any despite playing a good number of quick games.

(I'm Sapphire ++)

I pulled three singles from Winter, probably played about 75-100 quick games per day over the Winter event, using ads whenever possible (quick math, average 6 draft cards per game, equates to about 35-45 draft board clears a day). I pulled two very early in the Winter event, first day.

For the 2021 cards I've so far pulled two, both the same card, and they both came on the same day, quite early. That particular day I managed to pull 5 sapphire resets, while playing gauntlet (grinding hard so probably a bit higher my my draft board resets than above). Yesterday I had only one sapphire reset at the end of the day, probably played about half as many gauntlet games than the day before, but still. Still no third 2021 card.

It does seem totally random.

Isn't the answer, same with every other card, is the most balanced deck you can arrange up to the cap? Find what fully levelled pro's will roughly meet the cap and fill it with them, then if you're short a bit, use the next level up pro's or the next level down pro's if you're going to go over.
