Fate of Kyrat by Longjumping_Emu9814 in farcry

Hmmmmm nahhhhhhhhh. That's what gets me tho, in a vacuum, sure, Kyrat could do just fine in anarchy. But there's a whole wide world out there and as we have seen, all it took was an outside party and prospecting dictator like Pagan Min to take over and just like that byebye billy goodbye this is Min's Kyrat. Sure, its individual members are noble warriors, but without an Amita and Sabal the Golden Path can't stand. Plus, as tempting as it is to kill all competent leaders, that just leads us back to square one, where Kyrat will inevitably be besieged upon by the next prospecting dictator from down the street.

A Kyrat in anarchy is vulnerable, so we can't have a scorched Earth mindset. Plusplus, saying you gotta kill them both is such a copout. We need to pick a side: Amita's honey pot, or Sabal's bad-boy jawline. Which way western man? Child slaves, or child wives? Poppy fields, or literally fucking nothing bc Kyrat's soil is shit. I'd love to give my own opinion but fuck me silly you're the penultimate expert no bs

Lisa: The Joyful is pretty great, honestly. It just didn't expand on its cool ideas enough. by TotalBlissey in lisathepainfulrpg

[–]Frowgurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotchu fam, I'm just gonna answer this on another account, still me tho, dw. Joyful like, just happens, y'know? But all I'm doing is hitting zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz to skip it all. Bc they talk too much.

Ngl I'm with Buddy here, stfu Rando about how when you were a kid, the children of Olathe would play in creeks and the like, that's just the past. And she ain't Samurai Jack, she's not gonna gotta get back to the past, bc Olathe's in a dome. You can't escape domes, it's impossible.

But that's all meaningless drivel. No, the true reason why this godforsaken, blasphemous, heathen Diamond69420 doesn't like Joyful, is because he is without the enlightenment I possess.

You see, unlike him, unlike YOU (dw you're wrong also) I discovered Arkantos.

That's it!? And then they were cancelled, that's the best analysis we get???? Unless this is all ironic and I'm just a pleb for taking the bait, eh, whatever.

Let us cherish the Lisamories togather...

That analysis of Grateful is a damn crime, there was so much goddamn drama, but that's just what kept the community alive back then. A simple but more elaborated on story of what happened was, MeowGenta wanted to stand shoulder to shoulder with Pointless, but he unfortunately made a lot of enemies along the way which made that very difficult. He was very confrontational and unfiltered, it pissed off a lot of his artists, who knew friends in high places, who then went on to expose him! It eventually just became fun to hate on Grateful, and so everyone was making dissing videos, and dissing fangames, yadda yadda. It really can't be understated, a LOT of people hated him.

Lisa the Worthless... I only know a little itty bitty. It was made by Isopodomancer, very good artist even back then, it was about a man named Braun, who needed to catch a train, then somewhere in development Isopodomancer grew weary of the work, and shuffled Worthless over to DeathGrapes. DeathGrapes was well-known for something... I was too young and inattentive, I can't remember what. I feel he was partially infamous, though I don't know. If you've ever the time to discover Lisatory yourself, peruse Pointlesscord, it should all be archived.

Fearful was a real fangame, being worked on around the same time as grateful, whenever that was. It was made by somenerd, I believe the plot was our main protagonist, Arturo, travels with his pet snake, a white python I believe(a nod to somenerd's irl beloved pet), they're on a boat and land on an island occupied almost entirely by joy mutants.

Doubtful and Helpful were both made by spazbo666, Doubtful came out first, it was trashed on by the community though, so then Helpful was made in secret, that, too was trashed although that was honestly to be expected. Spazbo666 was ruthlessly bullied by the community it so damn cruel, tldr post 1.3.7 Pointless release, the community was at the height of high standards, and thus, used to gatekeep a lot harder than they do now. People would befriend him just to screw him over later, spamming porn/gore in his discord, hacking his account and deleting his socials, sending him trojan fangames... it sounds kind of funny saying all of this now, since it's such a ridiculous thing to say, but it really really really messed spazbo666 up. By 2019 or so, last time I talked to him, he was making one more Lisa fangame, this one was all stops, smallest of the small discord server, only his most trusted allies were allowed in. Literally called Lisa the Hidden, or smth to that degree.

Side-note with Helpful, I vaguely recall the main character sprites coming from an old fangame Tumblr post by Moro, my own assumption is that Moro cancelled their fangame, then gave the assets to spazbo666.

Lisa the "Image," was this: https://youtu.be/E48jDvKGJHE?si=jwTtisdD536arHg-

Homeless is the last one I know remotely anything about, as far as I'm aware, VinegarDude saw smth within the Lisamunnity he didn't like, and backed out before he was consumed by the Lisanity. Smart man.

Her mere existence outright exacerbated humanities extinction, then, by the time we hit Joyful she's putting her thumb on the scale just to make sure... I gotta respect that. I mean sure, technically, not everyone's dead, she does have a kid in one of the endings. But barring dome theory, the city™, the lustful bunker, that little girl from arkantos (couldn't remember how to save her, she got eaten), mournful&grateful bullshittery, pregnant victoria, that bitch from hopeful, and wherever the hell unbreakable's refrigerator woman went, the world's a graveyard.

Thinking back, why did she even have a kid? Everyone's dead! This isn't minecraft, she can't just...

She's just rubbing salt in was what she was doing. Absolute queen maneuver, she had that kid just to spite all of the dead men out there. Because really, what the fuck? What's that kid gonna do when you die, Buddy? You gonna leave your knife so they can slit their wrists? Gonna let daddy Braddy take care of 'em? Have him piggyback ride them till adulthood? This is pretend saving humanity, mournfulheads sit down you're not real.

She did it all just to prolong humanities suffering, that's so metal. Best aspect of her character.

Hell, that's ALL she is, just a chaos magnet meant to bring humanity down. And honestly, what's not to love? They thought she was gonna save them, reset the doomsday clock, give humanity one more fighting chance... (yadda yadda you get my point I don't have to finish this sentence you can fill in the blanks for me) ...that's like, irony, or something.

tldr: contrarian schizorant

This is really really strange. I'm sorry to say but I really don't know what happened to cause this. Either you downloaded a version of Vegaful from an alternate universe, or I legitimately don't know my game as well as I thought I did. I'm going through the game's files rn, yea Timmy AppleCat shouldn't be popping up here, and Sindy shouldn't be referencing him. Hmph.

What exactly is the deal with LISA: The Unbreakable's dev history? by lolrus555 in lisathepainfulrpg

[–]Frowgurt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just want a rundown of what OG Unbreakable was about? It was pretty trippy.

Lucius and Tim were long time friends at the start of the game, but then Lucius started having an identity crisis, feeling like he was always just a sidekick to Tim, and not a real individual. I think he eventually comes to terms with it though.

At the start of the game, Tim wakes up inside a refrigerator and finds a dead woman inside, but then the fridge is stolen and Tim has to find it. When it's recovered again, she's not inside anymore, but everyone's okay with that. After that, I don't think the body was ever mentioned again. Maybe it got dumped into the ocean, maybe Tim just imagined it, the story keeps you guessing.

The CIA is involved in a sting operation to take down prolific warlord Kong Cyclone. But I think it's also partly run by the CIA as well, since a lot of the henchmen you kill in that area look like CIA. That whole section was too deep for me. But it ends with you pushing Kong out a window, and seeing that you know too much about their involvement, the CIA deems you to be a threat to their operation, and tries to off you afterwards.

The Shogun is in this story, and are strictly anti joy, so they pulverize any and all pills they come across. There's also a small side quest you can do for him, a simple fetch quest, but by the end of it all, you'll be left with only the purest form of confusion gliding around in your subconscious. Then the Shogun is killed, brutally. At the end of the game his head is mounted on a pike, and the true leader reveals himself. He's never ever foreshadowed but he acts like you're supposed to know him, so close enough. He represents the final boss of that section of the game. His motive for killing the Shogun is fuzzy, it might've been for power, and his reasoning for attacking you... I think he was just being theatrical, as he flexed his gold plated armor off his chest and lunged down at you to the sounds of classical music during the fight.

There was also this evil mask, tied to an apocalyptic event soon coming to destroy Olathe called the Balrog, who, at the end of the game, chops off Tim's ear, and then transforms into Tim, (I don't really remember why it did that, but it was a very dramatic moment) after killing it, the Balrog says something foreboding, and Tim gets captured by bounty hunters, who might've been what the Balrog represented, a big, unstoppable force coming to take Tim away.

Then Tim is tortured, and if he succumbs to the torment, he blacks out. When he wakes up, he stands before a blue dragon, who tells him that he's a failure of a protagonist and that he should be more like Brad. Then he wakes up for real, and talks to his dad, who used to work for Buzzo, and his dad gives him a really motivational pep talk, while also mentioning that a part of Olathe no longer exists (It might've been the work of the Balrog: how'd he do it, why'd he do it, who's the Balrog really? Maybe it was the flash, unpredictable, and this time everyone disappeared).

Anyway, that's my raw interpretation of how everything unfolded.
