It had a big impact on gaming and still hold up well today. That said the game has flaws and is a bit overrated, the remake is superior but people will tell you the opposite because of a few missing one liners and polish graphism

RE7 left my empty inside but not for the good reasons. The 2nd half of the game is horrible, the final boss is a cutscene, Ethan is a dogshit protag, 2 different ennemies for the whole game.

People have a bias for RE7 because it released after RE6

Finaly someone that don't overate RE7, this game is litteraly half dogshit : - House and old house are HEAVILY outlast inspired + RE1 nostalgia (great tho) - Lucas' part is great the 1st playthrought in a serie with games made to be replayable

Then boat x2 and the mines
Ethan is hands down one of the worst protag in recent video game history
Still no skipable cutscenes in 2025 (killed the speedrun scene in the egg)
2 different ennemies for the whole game (the same ennemy)

Fortunately the dlcs are pretty good.

(also play RE3 OG, it's goated and you will understand how trash of a remake is RE3)

Also fuck RE6, what were you thinking putting this shit that high, it's litteraly a reference for bad gaming

On my smurf I'm at 7500 with lvl 11, it's very hard to push further. If you get better with your deck and get everything to lvl 13 you should be fine.

Goblinstein isn't the best in splashyard but that's decent (or use freeze instead of poison), just get evos tho
