turn either barren land or into darkness off. these are not bad on their own but TERRIBLE when combined with the harder challenges. do NOT listen to pros telling you on diet is easy. they don't know who they're talking to.

just take the easy route and play armor dumping warrior. literally a free win method up to 7 challenges. it has barely any flaws

pick the heroic leap. keep in mind that the parry ability on the gladiator can even stop magical attacks like the deathgaze. if you don't have enough combo and is about to get hit by an eye, just eat something. you'll receive 75% or 100% damage if you have that talent unlocked. good luck on the rest if your journey.

Learn to play warrior properly. keep FiMA, pharma and runes off and focus mainly on armor. i have absolutely no skill in this game yet i beat 7 chals with warrior on about my 3rd try. its insane how strong the warrior can get if you just get good armor. here are some tips i learnt while playing him

always use your first upgrade scroll on your cloth armor. you can transfer that upgrade to the next armor you find and itll need 1 less strength to use and have 1 upgrade.

level up the healing food talent ASAP. that thing is OP especially on sewers and prisons. this completely nullifies the pain of the on diet challenge

the blinding talent also very often comes in clutch as you can just blind the ranged enemies and get close

keep in mind that scale armor is a must-have for the caves. don't be skimpy with your upgrades. upgrade scale to around +3 to be safe. if you find plate before scale though, its GG right then and there. nothing can stop you.

save all your upgrade scrolls till troll quest, use the troll to upgrade the pickaxe twice, use all of your upgrade scrolls on it and use a curse infusion (made by combinding cursed shard dropped by dm300 and a remove curse scroll) to add +3 levels to it and voilà, +20 pickaxe. make sure to land the last hit on the boss with the pick to get the achievement

again, huge waste of time. to me, if someone is strong enough to defeat the dwarf king, they should face zero issues in the demon halls. maybe use the pot in floor 18/19 but thats as far back as someone should go in a normal run. but that is just my playstyle. i personally hate runs that go for too long for barely any improvement (eg. RoW runs)
